 9 Points to Play For
Topic Originator: Stanza

I honestly can`t see ICT taking 9 points from their last three games (Dundee H, Hearts A, Ayr H) and if they do then they will thoroughly deserve to be in the play-offs And IMO they will be promoted, as I suggested on here a couple of months ago. They are on form, play to their strengths and Neil McCann has turned them round impressively.

Pars are no longer in a play-off position, and deservedly so - the last few months have been dire. BUT I`m a football fan, with all the starry-eyed optimism that has seen me follow the Pars to Parkhead, Ibrox etc believing that (just possibly) lightning will strike and my team will win. Even if they are two down with five minutes left I will stay to the end, hoping that the miracle will happen.

But this season is NOT over, and no miracle is needed - we`ve got as "easy" a run-in as could be hoped for and there is still a reasonable chance of reaching the play-offs. We`re in a battle, sure, but if we do win the last three games I think we`ll be in the play-offs. Lightning has to strike somewhere!

The only problem we have Stanza is the way we are set out and play where is our next win going to come from ?
we have had chance after chance to secure 2nd spot but we have never taken any chances that have come our way , which is no surprise the way we have been playing ! our style would get football banned it is that bad

no love lost with Dundee though which if we win against QOS puts pressure on both.

"our style would get football banned it is that bad"

our "style" is what got is in that position in the first place.

Alloa played us of the park at EEP.
QOS are in better form than us , Arbroath have a better game plan and better fighting spirit, but hey you never no .

My colourful imagination is struggling to conjour a win from the ether....

I`m a football fan too and I cant see where we are getting full points from.

3 points out of 9 max, we seem to be stuffy enough to bore out draws but we dont have a midfield and we only very occasionally get lucky from punting.

Happy to get these 3 games over as quick as possible and take a break from this p*sh.

I’m with Stanza, I’m still clutching to what’s left to be optimistic about.

QOTS and Arbroath at home and Alloa who will be relegated already. ‘On paper’ winnable ties.

It’s now out of our hands which is the most infuriating part, had we won today it would’ve been a little more reassuring.

But yes, we’re now banking on ICT dropping points which is never where you want to be but you have to think they will do with that run in.

If they come out on top though, then hats off, they came good at the right time and would deserve it.

Sense majority of us won’t be too gutted as it’s been coming and wouldn’t be a surprise. It would lead to an earlier end of season review of Crawfords performance.

You’d have to think he won’t be here next season if that’s the case but with how the board have expressed their gratitude and praised work ethic of the coaching staff throughout this pandemic I wouldn’t be shocked if he gets another crack at it....but think fan pressure would be too much surely.
