Just in case it`s escaped anyone`s attention, this FA Cup semi-final at Wembley is live on BBC1 with a 5.30 kick-off.

Surely the last hurdle City have to overcome to clinch a historic quadruple.

There's no way City will ever eclipse United's historic treble TOWK.

Not often I'd take pot shots at Pep but he botched the starting line up for this one.

Yeah a genuine prediction of a Chelsea win would have been far more effective there!

That was a confident prediction, TOWK. Reverse psychology is a load of old bollox. The only trophy City have in the bag is the Premiership. The CL is hardly a gimme with Neymar and Mbappe up next. Even Jose's boys could upset City next week unless they up their game from the levels they produced today.

Tuchel's game plan worked to perfection although the goal was avoidable. Mendy and Sterling were virtual passengers today.

Reverse psychology is a load of bollox. Which is why I know for an absolute fact that there is no chance whatsoever that I am going to win the lottery tonight. Not going to happen.

City would have had a chance of that IF they were able to field their best team fo every game AND they played no more than one game per week...

And even then, it would have been a long shot.

What a turgid boring game. Did City actually have a shot on target ? Poorest I have seen Sterling for a long time.

Torres, Sterling and Gabriel Jesus were all really poor today.

Sterling in particular can have no complaints at being out of the side lately.

Sterling has been rank rotten for months . Needs punted in the summer . No where near good enough . Get Mendy out the door ASAP and go for Tierney .

Mendy wouldn`t get on the bench for the Albert.
Chelsea deserved it.

Injury to kdb could be crucial

City really need to buy a proper 9 this summer. Sterling is absolutely gubbins when he tries to shoot

He’s been rank ( comparatively speaking ) for months and months
He has little composure on the ball and constantly runs into defenders. Finally, Pep has seen the light. Will Gareth Southgate ?

He seems to do ok with England does he not? Granted he’s not performing at the quality expecting at a club like City.

Would be interesting to see how it develops internationally as Southgate does tend to give places out on merit/form.

I’d be surprised to see him dropped from the England squad at any point soon though.
