 Saltire and German flag
Topic Originator: MDCCCLXXXV

I noticed today that there was a saltire and a German flag above the tunnel, are they a recent addition or have they been there all season?

East End Park is a symbol of all that is DAFC.

Indeed, VEE - although I think it was also the flag of the Weimar Republic from 1919 to 1933.

Mind you, the flag of the old German Empire (Das Kaiserreich) was three horizontal bands of black, white and red, which is already quite familiar at EEP....)

I can understand the German Flag but don’t understand what sounds like the Russian National Anthem before the game!

This was put here by Dunfermline Athletic Crowd Displays to welcome our new investors.

Someone who the crowd display team will be working close with in the near future to help improve the match day experience. Watch this space.

“The German flag has been around since September”

Appropriate or inappropriate??..............I think unnecessary.
We are after all a Scottish Club playing in a Scottish league

The question was “appropriate or inappropriate”. How can the answer be “unnecessary”?

Noticed it as well. I actually had it pinned as one of our German based fans flag. Investors never even entered my head.

I often love seeing a satire in the crowd at games on TV. All it means to me is that someone from this country is there enjoying themselves.

Vangelis - conquest of paradise

Vangelis (real name, Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou) was Greek.
He wrote the scores for 1492: conquest of paradise, blade runner and chariots of fire etc

I understood that it was the Alan Parson’s Project, Sirius, (as mentioned above, earlier) that is played as the teams come out?
