The manager has to walk and the chairman should step aside if he can’t make the right decision. The club belongs to the fans and the majority have had enough!!!

99% have had enough and want change. It absolutely has to happen or season tickets are going to tank for next year. We have been faithful throughout this campaign during a pandemic and gave Crawford the benefit of the doubt but there has been no progress on the pitch at all in my eyes since he took over.

PARS207, take the blinkers off, we’ve been woeful all season. Very fortunate to make the playoffs, purely down to how bad everyone else was.

yes everyone was brutal and various reasons for it, even hearts with paying 4k a week with the likes of Naismith were shocking. Every player and manager has said it, its not been a normal season.

Not at all, no one should accept that.

was change needed mid November after we had just beaten hearts and were in Quarter finals of league Cup and started the season really strong ??

Genuine question. Has any set of fans ever felt that it doesn`t matter if the club board get the appointment of their next manager wrong.

Wouldn`t think so. Quite a few unhappy when Crawford was appointed though. The fact the job wasn`t advertised to see who was available. Think fans would want to see a better selection process this time.

What Petrie has done with Montrose has been pretty impressive to be honest.

Lost a goal early today and managed to get the W.

Crawford lost the fans a long time ago, it felt it was a case of when this season he will go than if.

It’s just a shame we don’t recognise that it hasn’t all been bad with Crawford, the cracking start of the season, getting into the playoffs and the quality of players he brought in, we’ve had some good moments and it’s important not to forget them.

But as we neared the end of the season it just all felt flat and deflating, even prior to the game today on here, there was very little anticipation and nerves going into it, resigned that we were going to lose today, when it gets to that stage it’s time for a change.

Will the board act is the question, every statement they’ve been very vocal about how incredible the coaching staff have been throughout this season given the challenges with COVID and despite our poor form of late, the objective was to get in the playoffs and he did achieve that.

So I wouldn’t rule it out that the Board keep him onboard as much as I’d rather have a replacement in.

HelensburghPar. Let's not kid ourselves on. None of us care less about recruitment processes or any of that as long as things are going well. At some point things will go wrong and no matter what those who managed the recruitment process did it will all be their fault in some people's eyes.

Having a thorough recruitment process is about giving yourself the maximum opportunity to get the the best person for the job, even though there are no guarantees.

Not having a proper recruitment process is about playing Russian Roulette with your chances of appointing the right person.

In every season under Crawford there’s been a real “saved by the bell” feeling. 2018-19 we won 5 in a row followed by no wins in 8 (including 7 losses) just before the season ended.
2019-20 we won 6/8 games before only winning 3 out of our next 12 (then the season ended due to Covid).
This season we started incredibly well then after Christmas collapsed and if the season was longer we probably would have slipped out the play off spots.

The point is that this isn’t a one off thing, these runs of terrible form at the end of the season have been present in every season Crawford has been in charge. You can’t end a season that poorly and have any chance of promoted and promotion should be our goal, not just the play offs.

Yep it's happened every season so, there is absolutely no reason to think it wouldn't happen again next year.

Wrong. Before a ball was kicked lots questioned the Crawford appointment and Potter to an extent. Who knows a decent selection process might have improved things. No guarantee but recruiting from within has failed. Time to advertise and see who applies.

But my point is that nobody cared less when we were beating hearts and up around the top of the table.
And equally when the product on the park is crap it doesn't matter how thorough the process was. It's all down to that end result.
Clearly a thorough recruitment process should provide better results than one than isn't as good but IMHO as a fan that's for those involved to worry about.
I agree that lots of people were unimpressed with Crawford being appointed based on his previous record but some of our best managers in my time supporting the Pars were novices when they got the job.

That’s what pissed me off the most when the job was not put out to other managers and wee went for Craw and his mates. One of the biggest mistakes the board has done imo.
