 Joe Cardle leaves Partick Thistle

Bring him home! In all seriousness, probably done as a player at this level but would love to have him back at the club in some capacity. 7 goals and 10 assists for thistle in league one was pretty pivotal for them

Kelty Hearts potentially if they go up? Decent payers and can work on his coaching business would be my guess.

I believe he has A license which is a requirement for this level if he was to be involved in any capacity.

C'mon Ye Pars!

Surprised at that - he seemed to be an important part of the team.

That would be a good fit for him imo Connor560, if Kelty manage to gain promotion over Brechin he'd dominate league 2 whilst keeping his coaching business running. As I said, don't think he could cut it as a player at championship level anymore but would love to be able to go to some Kelty games in the future and see Higgy and Cardle again 😂

"Surprised at that - he seemed to be an important part of the team."

Presumably McCall didn`t reckon JC was Championship level.

Can't say I know of his managerial abilities but he does a great job with his academy.

Yes, that Academy seems really popular. A lot of folk I know sent their kids to it and they seem to rave about how good it is and the kids themselves love it. I don't know if it will be up to pro youth coaching standards but from what I've heard he has already had a kid go on to join Hearts, and anything that gets kids enthusiastic about taking part can't be bad

Plenty kids during lockdown already signed to academies used Joe to tick over. He`s at the expensive end of kids Football but sometimes you get what you pay for, be interesting if he decided to form some kids teams.

Good friends with William Braisby as well so you never know what’ll happen.

Seems a good lad and the academy seems to be really good

A lot of me thinks Joe would do a job in the squad.

Prefer him to a non descript loanee. We had too many last season.

Still think he’d be worth a wee one year deal and bring some spark at times. I think he could still have some impact at this level, but definitely on the wane.

Cool, guessed you weren’t a fan by your earlier post. He might not start every game but as an impact and to have in the squad, he’d be worth a shout I think.

There’s no point buying players just to put in the squad or we’ll never progress. The aim has to be to get better than we already have, and he ain’t that.

Aye true but you also need an element of experience on the park at times. Hence why we had Whittaker. I'm not one for ex pars constantly coming back. Cardle I feel is able to coach to a high standard could be invaluable for youngsters on the park when things are no going well. I feel he will go to Kelty but if he doesn't get any offers I would offer at least a 6 month deal or pay as you play

Absolutely nailed on to end up at Kelty. With him and higgy out wide, they’d be a Michael Moffat signing away from me getting a season ticket..

Never say never, but I believe the parting was a bit fractious, making a return to EEP unlikely. It didn't stop Faissal El Bakhtoui coming back, mind you. 🙂

Not your average Sunday League player.

"Aww VEE, you love him really 😉"

I had my membership of the Joe Cardle Adoration Society cancelled and withdrawn for even daring to suggest he was inconsistent and erratic etc.

Some of you guys are still in awe obviously.

Having sat next to you at Firhill and hearing your thoughts directly on him, I think it’s safe to assume you were NEVER a member of said society. 😉
