I doubt Banks and Mayo were being paid that. Most of it would be paid by parent clubs.

Cheers Jake, used to be able to do links but now.....too auld🤣

Aye i doubt we paid whole amount but we would be paying a percentage at least. Some of those wages look suspect to me as complete understanding why some player's refuse to play full time football.

Sources include “insiders and subject experts”. As these aren’t published anywhere the sources will be entirely from them, so all unsubstantiated bollocks.

If anyone thinks we're paying Mayo and Banks that then their head must be buttoned up the back

I'm surprised how little Fraser Murray is on compared to Mayo. The Rangers 2012 must be overpaying their staff.

Jonathan Afolabi on £213,000? Really?

If this is even half true then every other player in this league will be signing on with his agent!

Wages look accurate but we will be paying a percentage of the loan players.
With the signed guys there surely has to be bonuses on top?
If not then that’s why our season was utter dross!

I highly doubt most of these, the loan players could easily be on that with their parent club.

The rest seem extremely low imo Comrie won`t be on more the Euan Murray and F Murray will be on alot more also Whittaker is on £50000 a year.

You should have seen the wages in the Calderwood era.... these are nothing compared to that! And I did see the real money getting thrown about

Wages are a private thing. We as supporters have no right knowing what the players earn on a weekly basis, just like they have no right knowing what Joe Bloggs earns in their job.

Most to me are pretty low for full time football. Some are like proper ludicrously low. Doesn't even equate to minimum wage.
I have a feeling the absolute most we would pay for the loanee's is 25% of their main club contractual wages.
Whittaker will be able to take more with having dual role coaching/player so 50k seems realistic. I had a look at hibs as well for Nisbit is down as £1k a week
Hearts come out at 3.36m a year. Dundee 1.27m and us 872k which includes our loanee's original club contractual wage. As discussed we will not be paying full whack

Good to see what we are paying out (not bothered who to) and compare with who we could realistically afford to bring in.

Wonder if the sums are after tax?

I'm not sure I believe a lot of those figures but, you never know.
I don't think, if I was a player, I'd be too happy about that being on the Internet but whoever made it, probably took it straight from some Football Manager type game.
While I don't agree the fans should know about individual contracts, it would be good to know what our overall player budget is, with breakdowns for the combined first team and the youths. Most French Clubs disclose the total wage budget

Completely disagree with that actually. The supporters fund those wages from season ticket sales, buying merchandise and most significantly from contributing around £200k per year through the Lifeline through voluntary payments.

As a result, there absolutely should be transparency regarding how it is spent.

I'm guessing they don't contribute to Joe Bloggs' wages, so agree they have no right to know them.

I wonder what the step by step processes would need to be for that website to be accurate? Either clubs, players or agents submitting wage data to a third party site. That sounds plausible yeah?

Or... It's cobbled together nonsense.

Hmmmm

Raiths only part time player on a higher wage than Hendry. I think not.

Aye, there were some crazy salaries being paid by the Pars back then. With crowds averaging around 6,000, there was only one way that was going to end. I believe many of the first team squad were on £3-4k a week. Our top earner was Stevie Crawford, allegedly. After all the players reluctantly accepted a 30% wage cut to avoid administration first time round, Stevie was still on a bigger salary than the PM, Tony Blair.

Back on topic. If you believe these wage figures are all completely accurate and genuine, you should see how much the Tooth Fairy and Father Christmas are on....

I think the rumour was that Stevie was on £5k a week but it was paid by a businessman?

The other wages were crazy though. I remember the big deal it was when we went all out to give Andy Smith £1k a week and he was our star man. Within a few years we were dishing out the £2 to £3k a week contracts you mention to guys that were alright footballers but didn't seem to be 4 to 6xs an improvement on the likes of Fleming, Moore, Petrie, Tod, French etc.

It's no wonder it went pear shaped.

Can't agree at all with this argument; do you insist on knowing what the checkout operator at Tesco gets paid, or the store manager, or your GP, Ambulance crew? We all fund them too; either by purchasing products or via taxation.....

There are plenty of job and professions where individuals pay/salary are in the public domain.

Stevie was allegedly on £5k a week, approx £250k a year. Tony Blair was on £160k. How could a striker for a middle ranking Scottish club earn 50% more than the PM of the UK? The Andy Smith salary was agreed after his record goals haul the previous season. He never kicked another ball after that. Players like Scott Wilson were on a basic wage of around £3k a week, win lose or draw, whether they played or not. This may explain why the manager often had a limited squad to choose from, with many players reporting niggling injuries.
