His mrs put up a message on Instagram story a few nights ago about being a football wife in uncertain times and that what will be will be and referred to him to just keep his head up.

In which he then shared.

Hmmm no sure on this

I’d like to see him stay

He scored truck loads for them in that league. They'd soon forgive him if he starts banging them in again.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

If he is played correctly and in the right position he is a big asset in my opinion. Like most he had an excellent start to last season and faded quite badly mid season onwards.
My only concern for him would be, if Grant has worked with O'Hara before then he might favour him up front and Wighton seemed to be our best attacking option towards the tail end of the season although granted he wasn't overly consistent either.

I noticed McManus liking the Falkirk managers announcement.

Not the kind of thing you should be doing when you play for their rivals and have their own announcement coming....

Not really fussed about him tbh, was hot and cold in both spells here.

Ran about a lot, no real game intelligence. Poor goalscoring record. I wouldn't be fussed if he goes. For some reason he always reminds me of Ted Hastings from Line of Duty - I'm not sure if that's because he looks a bit like the actor, or plays football like a 60 year old copper that's been sitting behind a desk for 30 years.

Hopefully Peter Grant can get a deal together to bring in Jack Hamilton or if not him, Innes Cameron

Lol your both obsessed, this would be a great move for mcmanus, great player at the seaside league in a full time team so will get 20 goals next year.

Free’s us up to get some quality in upfront.

He’s a striker first and foremost isn’t he and he doesn’t score enough goals. Wighton is clinical and O’Hara is a better finisher and expect him to shine next season as Grant will know how to get the best out of him.

He’s not like a Moffat who I actually felt despite his lack of goals seriously contributed in other ways.

McManus can hold the ball up top and run non stop but for a team pushing for no.1 next season we need to aspire for more. If he went to Falkirk I think it’s much better suited to him.

Where are the scum getting money to buy him? He`s under contract. Unless its a swap deal we are not going to give him away free.

Contract is irrelevant if both parties mutually revoke it.

Grant may want to let him go, and McManus might be happy elsewhere - assuming he has an alternative option.

Club saves his wages, so there is no giving away free aspect.

You never know what's going on behind the scenes. The new manager may fancy another striker that's available and McManus could be the one to make way in which case it would benefit the club to let him go rather than pay his wages.

Or it might be the case he's very much in PG's thoughts and he's going nowhere.

Aye he will want to give them all (contracted and offer some invites back) an opportunity to have a look with his style and how they fit in but he will already have an idea giving he done his homework on us.

Surely this is about a family who`ve recently had another child being worried that the new manager might not rate him particularly given the new man has worked with O`Hara before. McManus will be fine because one thing he does have is a work ethic, that will appeal to Grant. Mrs M is obviously concerned but this living your life on social media isn`t for me.

He isn’t a striker that scores lots of goals. His work rate is his biggest asset. Probably would be best utilised playing alongside a poacher ?

O’Hara is that poacher but together they never clicked in many games together last season.
Dec seems to like being his own man up front but sadly doesn’t score enough to merit that position imo

Got to remember some of the formations Crawford was playing and some out of normal positions. He is a player that last season looked busy always on the move but seemed little end product. Was that due to tactics? Or the lad himself. Personally I think Peter will want to keep him and utilise him better, because that energy used correctly with adding final product ooft would be some player.

Is there anything more horrific than folk following (if it's called following on Instagram) footballers, or even worse, their wives or girlfriends, hoping to get a bit gossip. Seems like there must be whole bunch of wee sweetie wives on this site who like nothing more than watching the real housewifes of Cheshire or whatever

I mentioned the Instagram story but there was no reference about him going to Falkirk in it.

I follow Declan not his Mrs as well if this is a dig at myself. Declan shared the message of support that his Mrs gave him.

As you can also see from my message I said no having it and also said I wanted him to stay.

Rumour of him going to Falkirk was posted before any mention of Instagram

tbh i personally i would see tis is a huge loss. i think he`s been really disappointing at ties this year. we lack a goal scorer and with a year left on his contract there has to be a fee which means it can be used towards someone who can score goals

You do realise he was our joint top scorer this year despite abysmal service and also being played out of position for half the season???

Due to penalties, sure. How many goals has he scored from open play?

A goal is a goal. In any case, as I explained earlier he is not going to get that many from open play if the service to him has been ***** or if he has been playing in midfield.
