See Kelty has signed Jordan Foster and have held talk with Joe Cardle today and are hopeful he will sign for them

Also gave Tidser, Higgy, Fash and Jamieson 2 year extensions

Even league 2 is too high a level for Foster.

Jordan Forster was a solid enough player, tbh I thought he could have still played at Championship level. He has had some injury issues recently though

That`s a decent way to end a career, both for Cardle and Higgy- at least have a story to tell the grandkids, and be a local hero in the history of Kelty.

Stenhousemuir have signed well so far aswell in that league. Wedderburn & Ross Forbes amongst others.

Forster not played for Dundee in a while but not injured as far as i am aware.

Hope a fresh start does him a favour as he's not had his troubles to seek.

I`m a Kelty boy but I`ve never given two hoots about the team but I might pop down just to cheer on Joe.

Well ? Ross Forbes is the laziest player I’ve seen in the last 10 years and I’ve seen pipe bands turn quicker the Nat Wedderburn.

Yep, Cardle signs, they must be Favourites for the title you’d think

Yes Stenny have made some sound signings too, but youd imagine Kelty aren`t finished

Geezo, that stenny midfield of tugboat nat and lazy Forbes won’t do much damage next season....almost as bad as when we tried to play nat and shiels in the middle in the championship!

Good good move for Joe at this point in his career given focus on coaching, even Higgy should do okay in that league.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Ah yes, fair enough. But who will ever forget big Nat holding off three players on the touchline? In that moment, he almost joined the pantheon of Pars legends!

He then did the Wedderturn. With that he became a legend for that move. (In my mind)

Great to see Kelty signing players of that caliber but the sands of time wait for no man and sadly they are in the twilight of their careers and are merely marking time and earning a wage before the inevitable happens and their legs go completely

I would love to see Joe Cardle having a great season in League two with Kelty and indeed hope they can go on and win that league but to think he can play at a higher level now is living in the past

He was part of the league winning side, in the league above, around 3 weeks ago.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

So why was he let go then?

Loved Joe in both of his spells here but time is not on his side now

Presumably because Thistle will be in the Championship.

He lives local and runs his academy here. See him most mornings at Duloch Park. Playing part-time for a team 5 minutes up the road is going to be easier than travelling to Glasgow all the time.
