 Steven Whittaker interview.

Very underwhelming and not once did he mention “we” but always “they” when talking about our club he’s a part of.
I want people passionate about us getting back to the Premiership and showing enthusiasm instead of the “I’ve played for Scotland and that’s enough” mentality

I’m really not convinced we are on the right path right now and if this post comes back to haunt me, I’ll be delighted.

He was saying we all the way through the interview.

He only used "they" when referencing specifically the players. Whenever referring to the club he said "we".

I saw it in a different way to you strangely. Thought it was quite insightful particularly when talking about working with the players on professionalism and good habits.

He played throughout his career at a very high level throughout, there`s a reason for that I`m sure, came across very straight and clear

"and not once did he mention “we” "

Correct - not once - but repeatedly "we" was used throughout.

Unless I`ve just watched a different interview ?

I was impressed by the interview too for similar reasons to those outlined above by Neils. Came across to me has having a kind of stature about him (which he has earned through his long and successful career at a high level). He might be the kind of person players look up to and strive to get affirmation from by raising their levels of professionalism and performance. He is higher up the coaching pecking order now and also being full time he can have a bigger influence.

I thought that he spoke very well, there were no Eh's or Buts. Indeed his attitude to looking after himself reminded me of Craig Brewster. Indeed I can see him being a manager in the future.

I know the words to the whole song, even now.
The only one I can say that about. Strange

I suppose that any pre season pledges are fairly meaningless. Until the action commences and we face the acid test, they`re just a pocketful of mumbles, such as promises.
