Signs for Dumbarton.

Found his level in my opinion.

Wasn`t he with E Kilbride last season? He`s on the way up.

We did well from him, and he will stroll that league.

Getting to the end of his career, but the Lowland league he could do better, not sure what the EK budget will be now that covid has hit, they have a very small support ( they were supposed to build a new stadium, maybe that`s all out the window) so good luck to him, one these players get into their 30s it`s a case of taking what`s out there, he can easily play one or 2 seasons, maybe more.

He was a good player for us. Played in a position where more often than not, the good work they do is not noticed by some

Thought he was with Airdrie - he did his hamstring in in one of the early Play off games and that was him out . Airdrie badly missed him.

Didn’t rate him but that might be more down to how he was played rather than him being all that limited although I think he was a bit of that too.

Spent too much time standing next to the central defenders while we were constantly overrun in the middle of the park.

A holding midfielder coming deep for the ball? I refuse to believe it.

Won't lie, as much as I want to love him, he was part of one of the most ineffectual midfield I've ever seen for us. Good luck at Dumbarton though

Did the job he was asked to do for us. Good luck to him

Looks like he`ll be a replacement for big Nat who has moved to Stenny. Don`t think they would have worked well together!

Paton used to come deep for the ball……even when we didn’t have it!

Do we have any midfielders in the squad at the moment?

Wedderburn, sheils, paton, Mayo, Whittaker…. Yes we’ve had some top notch central midfielders through the door in the last few years I must say.

I struggling to think of the last time we had a good central midfield pairing where both could run….

I don`t think you`ve ever actually identified a midfielder who would fit your criteria and be affordable within our budget.

I can't say I have ever seen them have a positive comment about any player or manager.

Can't quite see how Whittaker is in with that list. We barely lost a game when he played.

Paton was a worker with limited ability. Clearly has a great work ethic and understanding of the game to have the career he's had. He'll probably make a good coach on that basis.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

I can't say I've ever seen a positive comment about anything, makes me wonder how he can face getting out of bed in the morning with a mindset like that

Paton never went missing, always showed for the ball even when things weren't going well and was happy to take posession short from the goalie (Robinson?) which was often needed with his erratic distribution.

Also seemed like a good captain and a decent influence on those around him.
