….Not sure if this has been done.

With the Euros on the go I started to wonder how many different nationality’s have played for DAFC.

So…….

1. OFW - Wales
2. Istvan Kozma. - Hungary
3. Andy Kirk. - Northern Ireland
4. Andreas Skerla. -Lithuania
5. Geir Karlson. - Norway
6. Ivo Den Bieman. - Netherlands
7. Colin Miller. - Canada
8. Jesper Christianson - Denmark
9. Youseff Rossi. - Morocco
10. Georgi Hristov - North Macedonia

Can someone add No: 11?

“.........your on mute Jordan” 😀

Are we talking about foreign players, or internationalists? If the former, Kris Mampaey (Belgium) and Ivan d’Angelo (Italy) could be added to the list. Derek Stillie (Sealand) if you want a quiz question. Nikolay Todorov (Bulgaria) may be added soon.

Lpf – you’ve probably tried very hard to forget 2011/12 which was a bad season for goalkeepers (and other positions). We started off with Paul Gallacher as first choice, Chris Smith on the bench and Ryan Goodfellow as youthful back-up.

Gall got badly injured in the last minute at Tynecaste just before Christmas in trying (and failing) to prevent Skacel adding a fourth. He would have been better not to have bothered. Rather than faff about with putting Aussie McCann in goals or whatever, I think he was told that the ref would blow for full time right after the restart, which he did, but I think Barlow was out for the season.

That meant Chris Smith was no 1 choice briefly but he became more blunderful than wonderful so Macca signed Iain Turner on loan. He only lasted a few games as he apparently got injured, so it was back to Smith again. When Jim Jeffries came in belatedly he allegedly scoured the continent for any available keeper and we got Bernardo Domingo Fernandez, who got given the last game of the season as we were already relegated.

We signed an American keeper in the 80s/90s but he never played due to work permit issues.

ETA- I recently saw this book which made me aware of it but I`ve not read it.

Thanks MCT I think I missed a lot of that season being down in London but that explains it!
