Enjoyed that game. Good mix of football and kicking lumps out of each other.

Genuine question but how is there such an appeal for the Copa America when all the teams have to play each other to qualify end up just playing each other in the tournament itself?

Bit boring is it not?

There is no qualification for the Copa America as there are only 10 member nations of Conmebol (South Americas equivalent of UEFA)
Each tournament they invite other countries to participate. This time it was Qatar and Australia but they dropped out due to Covid pandemic.
In the 2019 tournament Japan and Qatar took part.

Columbia's goal last night against Brazil was an absolute screamer. Shame they couldn't get the win.

Unbelievable technique! Why couldn`t Adams or McGinn do that with the chances at the back post they had against Croatia?😊😊😊

It's a Brazil v Argentina Copa America final after a penalty shoot out win for Argentina after a 1-1 draw with Columbia.
Maybe Messi will finally win the major international trophy he's missing .

A well written article about Messi by Gary Lineker, even if it is over a year old and has been resurrected to coincide with Leo's first major international trophy.

All Messi has to do now is win one title outside Spain.

I can't see him moving out of his comfort zone and Barca are desperate to keep him. If he were to move away from Spain, I could only see him teaming up with Pep again.

Hard to believe that’s Argentina’s first win since 1993

Pleased for Messi and 100% agree he is the GOAT
