Why does it say we have to wear masks in the stadium when all the games we see in the Euros no masks are worn?

Maybe because Scotland currently has the highest covid rates in Europe.

Absolute nonsense wearing masks in an open air stadium, where you’ll be distant from anyone not in your bubble. Can’t see myself going back until things are back to normal.

Asda is allowed a capacity of almost 700 yet a 12,000 seat football stadium can have 1000. Same day silverstone will have 120,000. in attendance.

No queueing for a Stephens Pie at the football but queue at the shop 5mins along the road. Pubs can open late if football goes to extra time but no exceptions when tennis is on late. This covid is more intelligent than we thought.

29,000 cases with 20 deaths compared to 29,000 and 2500 deaths in January. 99% of deaths in over 40`s who have all now been offered a 2nd vaccine to help suppress symptoms and mitigate hospitalisation.

I know it's frustrating but I'm surprised after all this time folk still don't understand the way restrictions work.

Just because you can do a thing to in one situation doesn't mean it should be ok for everyone, all the time in apparently similar situations.

It's all about reducing population risk. Not personal risk.

Certain sectors are prioritised due to need. Going to football would be far down the priorities.

And it's not just about our games. Your opening up games all across the country, every week.

I'm not defending every policy decision. The selection of test events is questionable, but there is a need for test events. In theory, these should be more stringently controlled environments and one-off events. Just because 50,000+ go to Wembley, doesn't automatically allow a similar number at Ibrox, parkhead, old trafford, etc every other week for next 9 months.

These "questionable" selections are causing the discontent and show a real leaning toward the more wealthy in society.
If that is accepted, that is what we'll get and quite frankly it's very noticeable now.
Seems those big expensive pandemic adverts worked on most, still hanging off the recommendations of the most openly corrupt and morally bankrupt government of recent If not all times.

nobody is asking for 50,000 at Ibrox etc if wembley is 50,000 (50%) then East end could deal with a crowd of 6000 with 1 seat distanced between each person (simplistically) however reality is no more than 2000 would go to some games.

I need to queue outside a bakers for my lunch because i am 3rd in line but 60,000 all rolled out wembley onto olympic way to wait for tubes back to central london last night. Im not denying covid is a thing but just look at some of the ridiculous scenarios that our out there.

There will be no restrictions on crowd numbers in England from the 19th so Old Trafford will have more than 50000 attending. Wimbledon had capacity crowds and no masks etc. EEP gets 2000 and no food.

Exactly - it’s the Scottish Government that is our problem and the one applying restrictions not the dastardly tories (who are cnuts anyway - but the comparisons to English events and east end are just wilful stupidity).

Was at an absolutely heaving Burntisland shows yesterday with no masks or any sign of Covid except the most pointless entrance and entry system. But then I have to stand on stickers on the ground to queue up places to keep my distance. It is both absolutely baffling and hilarious. Club will do what they are told to do!

Hearts will be allowed more due to a larger stadium surely? Larger capacity as standard will mean more fans with restrictions. Kelty were only allowed 250 if I am correct.

Ordered an adult ticket, no problem. No option to order second ticket so purchased completed. Tried to order again and reminder that ticket has been ordered for my season ticket then not available for an U12. Both are registered at the same address. Very frustrating and a potentially upset young man wants to go to game. Club telephones not answering.

“ How do you buy more than one ticket?”

‘How to’ guide says click add to basket and continue shopping. But website doesn’t let you buy more than one ticket. I’ve been in twice and tried it. Then it kicks me out and I can’t log in again for ages, so had no luck at all. This site is horrendous.

I had a few failed attempts, and eventually could only get one ticket, although we were told that at checkout there`d be the option to add another.

Top Tips:
1) Go to the ticket sales site
2) continue as if you wanted to renew your season ticket
3) If you come to the actual ticket sales screen, lucky you, proceed!
4) If you get an error message, just keep trying.

If nothing else, by the time you finish or give up, you`ll know your barcode number off my heart.

Considering that the club has been eagerly awaiting this moment for over a year, I`d have thought they`d be better prepared.

As someone else said, I never expected this to go well, but they really should do better. The process they describe is clunky and counter-intuitive ("to buy a match ticket, you click on Renew Season Ticket") and even when followed, it usually disnae work.

"a few teething troubles" blah blah blah

Does anyone else feel that when you phone the club to report these problems (as advised on the website) the recorded message you get shouldn`t be in that bright chirpy voice is if all`s well with the world, but a guy sounded horribly stressed and depressed to reflect the shambles this has turned out to be?

Just as well the faither isn`t bothered about going as I ordered 1 ticket no bother.

This is pretty poor. We`ve been waiting for over a year for this opportunity & to hear the stories above really is disappointing.

80mins to get 2 tickets, which had to get on separate bookings, 2 rows away from each other is simply embarrassing from the club.

They can make all the standard excuses about teething problems, that they have spoken to the suppliers tech support, social distancing etc etc etc but we are talking about 1000 tickets here, its easier to get tickets for sell out gigs at the hydro and hampden where hundreds of thousands of people are trying to get on the ticket sites.

This company said they were experts in ticket for social distancing......

Eventually got 2 tickets but took an hour and 15 minutes - had to buy one ticket using my season ticket number then go back through whole “error message process” again using my wife’s season ticket - patience and perseverance seem to be the way but agree with all previous posters as this is all seems very amateur hour stuff - should be much simpler it’s Dunfermline v Dumbarton and not Glastonbury after all 🤪 - hopefully the “teething problems” will be sorted out in time for season starting 🤞

Got through using wife`s season ticket. Wouldn`t recognise mine. Got hers booked but despite what the guidance says there is no provision at checkout to add the second ticket, nor can you select two tickets at the selection stage. I could get her ticket and try to book mine separately using my own season ticket number but if it continues to reject my ticket number I have lost the cost of her ticket. What an absolute shambles. I very seldom criticise the club organisation but this is appalling and unforgiveable

“All i ger is ORDER RENEW. Fed up now, what is this going to be on match days for PATG fans.”

Have you not even bothered reading the ‘how to’ guide, or other people’s posts? That’s what you’re supposed to click on to log in. Yes, the button should probably be renamed, but the ‘how to’ guide and several posts above let you know that you’re supposed to hit the ‘start renewal’ button to log in. That’s hardly a major issue, surely? The fact that people have been unable to log in/buy more than one ticket is a fairly big issue, not the fact that it says ‘renew’ rather than ‘log in’.

IF it’s now working, what we the loyal customers have been struggling with the past two hours is what the suppliers should have been doing yesterday.

It’s called “testing”.

Once again (like the turnstile fiasco) shoddy suppliers charge the club to damage its reputation

Looks like they have removed the need to "log in" with your season ticket but you still need the season ticket bar code in order to checkout now. After 2 hours 20 minutes I finally have a ticket for my old man. To say he is excited about his first football game since last March may be an understatement.

Glad issues have been resolved now and hopefully the process is much better for the next game. But it’s really poor that the system was (clearly) not tested properly before going live. That sort of thing should be common sense.

I’m having to socially distance there, from people I’m in the same household with, because the system wasn’t tested before going live. Really poorly managed.

I tried earlier and wasn`t too surprised to find problems with it and being unable to use it. However, upon going back in just now it actually worked quite well and obviously an adjustment has been made after the problems earlier.

It`s frustrating that we often seem to have problems with this kind of thing and it does seem mad not to have tested it properly beforehand. Once you do get in though, it does look better than the previous ticketing system.

Folk can sneer at this if they like, but I have a real sense of excitement about getting back at a game again - being able to watch a game properly from inside a ground is a big thing for me. The thought of being able to see the whole pitch with no jumping between camera angles and just my own take on it rather than a commentator`s - that`s a glorious thought.

Site when works obviously will be good but doesn't get past the fact it should have been working 100% at 10am this morning.

The whole oh it's busy tweet didn't wash, and then it was an update that sorted it. So which was it?? Sounds very much like lack of testing, lack of checks, which is pretty poor to say the least bordering on amateur levels which isn't good enough.

After three hours of trying I gave up and went off and did normal things until after lunch. Whatever happened in the intervening period I don`t know but on my first attempt of the afternoon everything went through like greased lightning. Very impressed, but it should not have been necessary. That`s three hours of my life I won`t get back - and at my age that`s no joke!! Not rocket science, everyone trying to get on the site at the same time this morning caused a problem. Patience and common sense win out and tickets bought . If only more people followed this example. but then there would no reason to come on here and criticise the efforts of the club. This happens with any website when there is unusually high traffic.

Well done you have managed to give the Courier a headline. slating the club.

Thankfully the complainers are in the minority, a lot of fans appreciate the work done the hardworking, pleasant staff.

No it wasn't an issue so many people going on at one time, this is only open to season tickets holders remember so max 1500 or so be on at 10am, which more likely it was just a few hundred.

The issue was it wasn't allowing people to buy more than 1 ticket , that doesn't happen cause of high traffic.

Once whatever seats are taken, the system marks as unavailable the ones around it. Looks like 3 either side and the row immediately in front and behind. So, although there might be a whole lot together showing as being available just now, as soon as one is taken that one and those around it no longer will be. It`s better doing it that way than making specific seats available, as this allows 2 or 3 to be bought together and still gives space between that group of people and other groups.

yeh be either the QR code or the bar code number that be scanned at turnstiles, would expect a video from the club for instructions like last time they changed the ticketing set up....

From the clubs update....

The Stephen’s Kiosks will not be in operation, and this should be taken into consideration before attending the match. (Plastic bottles of water/juice are allowed while catering outlets are closed but must be sealed at entry to the stadium)

It’s because they aren’t wanting to encourage fans to come in to attempt to buy tickets. I asked whether I could collect ours on Saturday pre-match and that was the steer given which is fair enough!

Tickets for Saturday no problem at all, very quick and very easy as it should have been last week when they went on sale.

One thing hoping the system can do is fact Raith use the same, is we can select seats for the away games in kirkcaldy rather than just be given them by whoever is serving in the shop at the time u go in.

Purchase this morning was straightforward. One thing I learned on Saturday is that there are seats with the same number in different areas. I thought I had bought my ST seat in the centre of the main stand only to be directed to a seat with this same number in the East section of the main stand. Today I think I got the seat next to my usual one. I`ll find out for sure on Saturday!

I thought seat numbers were unique, PARS207. I realise now that my ST seat must have been sold last week when I bought my ticket but, when I found one which matched the number, I accepted it without thinking. No harm done and I got a great view of he first three goals and Macdonald`s wing-back play! I`ll be glad to get back into the body of the kirk on Saturday though.

Can you normally take sealed bottles or cans of soft drink into EEP? No. You can take something like Capri sun as it is in a pouch.

Over 1000 sold for saturday, centre stand not many seats left now, same with the NW with a couple rows blocked off and obviously the social distancing requirements.

Norrie in section C and D just a couple seats left in the middle and rear sections.

Isn`t it a case of the club don`t know if they`ll be able to sell 2000 because they don`t know how many they will sell together.

The rules are now 15 can sit together if they choose but if people are buying in one`s and two`s that`s going to make a difference. If two groups of 15 buy their tickets that may put 90 seats out of action due to distancing. However if tickets are sold as two`s ( as is much more likely) each two is going to put as much as 16 seats (2 actual seats, 2 either side, 5 infront and 5 behind) seats out the game.

The club can`t really say how many is left surely

The NW wasn`t open last Saturday so there`s extra capacity there. Where I was in the East section of the main stand was very sparsely populated so, if we sold 1,000 last week, there`s potential to sell a lot more this week.

The seat allocation seems to take into account that you'll have a mix of groups sizes from 1 - 15 (making that last figure up but looked like a whole row in the Norrie was available).

Like the cinema they'll no doubt end up with some people having to split their group because of where seats are.

I'm assuming we're working to a 2k max but it's closer to the 1k as spacing out is difficult.

I was just looking for two of us but assume someone on their own couldn't get a ticket for a seat in the middle of a row of seats intended for a larger group?

not sure what u mean on the 1st point jake, you select the seats you want and it automatically then blocks out the seats around it for social distancing.

last point you made, if someone wanted one seat on a row that showing 8 seats available this now, they can select the seat from either side of that 8 seats, the seats showing are those available that anyone can select, not reserved for large groups or varying numbers.

would be surprised if crowd is over 1500 unless they open the north east stand where on basis of what the north west has sold, would be just over 200 seats that could be sold.
