Well done ...

4500 season ticket holders is also pretty good.

Their chairman also sent a lovely tweet when Trevor Carson left for Dundee Utd thanking him for all he’d done for the club - I’d be very proud of them if I were a Motherwell supporter.

Motherwell are a great club. Always seem to do well by their supporters. One of the few Scottish clubs I respect.

That’s brilliant, probably ended up not losing a huge amount plus increased their home support (even if it is just for one season) and those that can take advantage may in turn spend some money on merchandise etc

Well done well! 👏

Yes, Motherwell have done lots that should be admired over the last few years.

Of course, it is helpful for their budgeting when they know that you they will never be allowed to get relegated...

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

It's a really good idea, we should be giving away free tickets to people that are struggling as well, when those kids grow up, they may become fans and be in a position to buy season tickets themselves

I reckon Pars fans would respond to this. It has happened in the past. Set up a season ticket fund and help out fans who have hit hard times.

Either that or do it on a match by match basis.

What would it cost us to give season tickets away for free to disadvantaged families so they could fill up the stands?

Genuinely. If it was managed properly so only those who needed it could get them and it wasn’t for just one game but the whole season (to build the habit and support)?

Even better would be to have these seats filled in the existing stand (so there’s no stigma by stand) but we could still leave enough free for walk ins?

Where I sit has lots of free seats near me and I’d welcome it being a bit busier creating a bit more noise

That is a brilliant gesture by the Well`s fans.

"What would it cost us to give season tickets away for free to disadvantaged families so they could fill up the stands?"

Sounds like a great idea, DBP, but you`d need to put that to the BoD. Just before the pandemic, the club had to take action to prevent certain abuses of concessions it had made, viz:

Adults below 60 using concessionary STs and folk over 12 getting in with comp U-12 tickets issued to primary children during Pars Tackle Health visits by players.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Well said. That’s the very point I’m making in my post

Bail out
