Tickets on sale for the season opener V Cowden. I`m going as Pars away at Morton.

Should be an interesting Fife derby

Ticket from Fanbase https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Dashboard

I don't see the obsession people have with them.
I absolutely want to see them fail badly.
They are in direct competition with us for attracting fans and the more that go and see them the more money Dunfermline will lose out on.
How long until we are both at home and Kelty have a crucial game and we have one that is not so important. How many will choose that game over ours, costing us income.
Kelty Hearts can GTF as far as I'm concerned.

Who would that be, Pars207?
The EoS 7B takes ye there - get aff at the Crown. Easypeasy 😂

I’m not getting any “obsession” (not on here anyway) with KH. Just a healthy interest and discussion in a local team doing well.

I see Crossgates Primrose are linked up with the Pars and Cowdenbeath re using season tickets for discounted entry to their home games. I think they did something similar before. Great initiative imo.

PAY AT THE GATE | There will be 2 “Pay At The Gate” turnstiles open on Saturday for the derby opening
@cinchuk
League 2 match with
@CowdenbeathFC

These will be at the main entrance off Bath Street and the North End for away supporters on a 1st come basis.

I`m surprised that all tickets were not sold, but i suppose it show`s Kelty`s limited crowd potential.

I don't mind Kelty and that is as far as it goes, good to see another Fife team in the Leagues but there is more than a whiff of Gretna about this.
Is this sort of financing from the Owners going to be a long term project on crowds of 200 or 300?

Awight Pat!

Apart from dens and Tannadice, are kelty and Cowden the closest Derby match in uk?

If you knew the owner you would know this is nothing like Gretna.

Plus, they are not getting crowds 200 or 300, they are getting crowds of 600 to 700 which is much higher than other teams in their league and some teams in the league above. It's actually a nice wee trip to go and watch them play, great set up

MDC, no there are a number of derbies in England with a shorter distance than that of Cowdenbeath and Kelty.
Chelsea v Fulham, Everton v Liverpool and closest of all Notts County v Nottingham Forest which is only just just shaded by the Dundee teams (though the three hundred yards between the City Ground and Meadow Lane does include a river).

We all hate poverty, war, and injustice.
Unlike the rest of you squares.

The more their fixtures & kick off times/admission prices are advertised on here, the higher the chance is that someone attends their game rather than ours.

Mental that some would actively encourage this.

Each to their own, i don’t have any interest in Kelty but for those that want to go and watch one of their games then don’t see the big problem or folk going to get judged on this now as well?

Could never go to watch Kelty in preference to a live Pars game or even a streamed game, have been a couple of times though when no pars game on and thoroughly enjoyed the experience

You are made welcome no matter that you are a Pars fan and it’s good to watch a game without the emotional ties

When’s they played Dundee Utd a couple of weeks ago they were really good and you were hard pushed to tell which was the Premier side

Good luck to them, I feel they will eclipse Cowdenbeath easily this season and have a real chance to win their league

same as 1970Par, couldn`t go watch another game or team over seeing my team live or on a stream.

wouldn`t also go say midweek to a game and pay money to watch it that would impact on ability to go in person or watch online dunfermline at the weekend or next game they play.

Easy to avoid threads about teams you have no interest in.

My family are from Kelty so I’ll always have a soft spot for them however the Pars come first and foremost with match attending etc.

Might be a different scenario if / when I move to the East o Fife but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. Do Leven / Glenrothes / Falkland have football teams? 😂

I'm taking an interest as I'm worried where this is going if they keep climbing the leagues and we stagnate or worse drop down them

It’s likely that for the 2nd weekend in a row there will be Football fans who’d like to watch a game live unable to do so. No away fans at the Morton game and unlikely to be any room this weekend for non-season ticket holders against Partick Thistle. Pay at the gate available for Kelty last week and Stirling announced the same for this weekend’s visit of Kelty.

Cupar Hearts- good little set up and a very friendly welcoming club. Couple of ex-pars in the team and can still be a "jambo"

Nothing wrong with some good old fashioned healthy competition. I think it’s brilliant to see such a progressive club like Kelty getting their just desserts. That’s what a pyramid system is all about, I’m sure Kelty will eventually find their level. I see that here in Leamington, we have reached our level and would need a huge cash injection to kick on. We consistently punch above our playing budget but always run the risk of relegation if the manager gets it wrong. Think clubs like Alloa and Arbroath fit into that scenario.

I`ve taken a shine to Dundonald Bluebell
(And no` just because Hubby has just signed for them, honest)

Am I correct in thinking we played the Bells in a wee friendly a few years ago? Their ground is awfy familiar.

If my property guru* has anything to do with it, it may come down to watching East Fife every week!
