Thousands of bigots in the stands.
No Kai Kennedy.
On a hiding to nothing though so I'm sure our players will relish the experience if nothing else.

Like every cup game it's shared.

Hence why lower league clubs get all excited when they get a bigger team as they get a bug pay day

Money aside, it`s the worst possible draw for our very young inexperienced team. A heavy defeat could destroy the confidence of our players. Hopefully get a couple of experienced players in before the tie. No doubt Grant be will get a warm reception at Ibrox

The good thing about young players is they will be excited more than nervous about playing at snake mountain. It will mean shuffling our team about as Kai Kennedy won't be able to play.
I hope there are more fans allowed in stadiums by then, Altho we should make a few quid from tv

Don’t think The Rangers* have had three red cards during all their matches in the nine years they have existed.

Plenty retrospective reds when it’s too late to affect the result tho’

It’s a free hit. Go out play the same way and have a go, rangers will be giving opportunity to players I would think this early on in this competition.
Added to that a share of the gate from around 35/40k depending on restrictions is good money for the club. This is the tie the chairman would have wanted as well as new owners.
Players and manager will be well up for it, and both Saints shocked them last season so you never know.

Let’s just say we’ll be rank outsiders - then again, name any Scottish team who would currently go there as favourites. I look on it as a no lose game - if we lose then it will surprise no one. Anything beyond that would be a delightfully unlikely outcome. In addition, we can maybe make a bit more money there than elsewhere. It’s a free hit and I hope we approach it as such. COYP

Get this league cup nonsense away tae feck. There’s no money in it. It’s just a distraction to a team who aspires to achieve promotion. We don’t have a big enough or strong enough squad to compete properly in a league and 3 cup competitions. Cup competitions that we realistically don’t have a chance of winning. Time to get out this league and then try to emulate teams like st Johnstone.

No money in it apart from the potential windfall of a six figure sum as our share of the gate money.

Take a look on the Pars Twitter announcements and it's filled with illiterate Rangers supporters...many of whom are from Dunfermline. They're still using their normal three letter acronym but this time the P is for Pars. Absolute scum.

Last time I went to Ibrox for a Pars game, Gerry Britton was still playing for us. Bovril, pies, spit and god knows what descending on us from above. Rangers player scythed Gerry down, no action. Gerry was obviously riled up and charged after the ball, dived in but missed the ball and the man by at least a yard. Ref gave a foul and booked Gerry. At which point I lost it and had to be taken out of the ground by my mates before Glasgow`s finest did it for them. Horrible place, horrible people, never going to give them any money ever again.

During my years of teaching I had several Celtic supporting pupils, two of them went on to be the Dux of the school. I also had many more Rangers fans. Very few of them went on to study Highers indeed they frequently studies at Standard grade General and Credit grade.

I got an error message, inviting me to submit my post again. ☹
I'm no super optimist myself, but if the players think they'll get beat before the game starts, they definitely will. If they believe they can win, we have a chance, however small. The Pars won at Parkhead, when they were relegated and Celtic were champions. ICT, did the same at Ibrox.

I just hope our players come off the pitch with heads held high, whatever the result, having dove tneir level best for 90 mins - or even 120. 🙂

Surely, however long it takes, you hope we go through? I`d much rather scrape through on penalties than take a 7-0 tanking within 90 minutes.

Of course it wouldn't be the same. I think the players will be excited to test themselves against the current Champions. It doesn't change the fact that anything other than a Rangers win would be a huge huge shock and as supporters we should be hoping for a good performance but also be prepared for the potential of a bit of a tanking.

And when we get priced up at 25/1 it doesn't represent a good value bet before anyone asks 🙈

A bit late for that revelation now !!!

If the club thought along those lines then they shouldn`t have entered whatever cup(s) they feel is beyond their ability to compete in.

The beancounters at EEP will be more than happy to contemplate this nice little earner at Ibrox.

I’m glad the game is on Premier sports (as if they would choose a non OF teams game) as listening to Rangers Tv’s commentary is shocking. It’s like listening to some bluenose neds talk in the pub.

Agreed, a visit to Ibrox would be the last place I would ever want to set foot in again. However, references to Castle Greyskull are way off the mark. Castle Greyskull was the home of He-man and the other good guys. Snake Mountain is the place where the baddies lived, and so that's a more suitable name

There is no way I’d go to Greyskull again - terrible place.

And it's GRAYskull. You two don't know your kids TV!

The wife and her side are massive Rangers fans so I’m just going to work late that night and watch the game on my phone…. Can’t stand the guff that they spout about Rangers tbh….. BUT if we did beat those knuckledraggers i will make sure they will never forget it.

Could you not convert her, EEP? Show her the error of her ways? It's not her fault,.her parents clearly brainwashed her.

Oz par ,hope you and family are well ,you reminded me of a similar story .

I was playing jnr foottie and I went to pick up one of my team mates.

Iarrived at the door to hear his wife screaming at him

Its either football or me !

Silence for about 15 seconds

My mate simply said " where are my boots "

Reminded me of my mates wife who turned up halfway through the game and dumped all his clothes on the pitch :)

I also won`t set foot near Ibrox.

Had an unpleasant experience that cup tie when Rab Stewart put us ahead only for Rangers to scrape two late goals.

My resolve weakened once during the Kozma era - that was enough to confirm my earlier inclination.

It’s a no for me too.

I remember the bears getting very restless at the Rab Stewart game and there was a horrible atmosphere brewing. My mate was concerned and said to me “ if we win we will get our heads kicked in “

I told him “ I hope we get our heads kicked in then “. Of course we didn’t as Mcadam and a fluke Mcoist goal saved our precious heads unfortunately.

Have been back once, can’t even remember much about the game. It was around 2001/2 and I think we lost 4-0.

Will never set foot in that place again.

I was at that game also. The rangers fans were actually punching the hell out of each other, near where we were sitting.Actually,it was quite scary, but we were never threatened. That result,if it had gone our way, would have over shadowed Berwick.
