I`ve just received an e-mail saying the capacity for the opening league match against Partick Thistle will be restricted to 2,000 and priority will be given to ST holders. Apparently 1,900 STs have now been sold.

Seems like they're hoping to get season ticket holders to book first to work out how many seats will be left for non season ticket holders.

Not at all. You're being asked if you intend to actually turn up. Capacity limited to 2000. We've sold 1900 season tickets. All they're attempting to do is establish how many tickets can go on sale allowing for season tickets and social distance measures

remember any season ticket holder who doesn`t attend can watch the live stream as part of their season ticket while we have restrictions
luckily i managed to sort our tickets before it went down, but its another PR disaster really for the club and the ticket agency, its brilliant when it works but these issues should not be happening.

Parsweep, if you bought your season ticket in the shop then you wouldn’t have received an email, you would’ve got a receipt.
To confirm you are going to the Partick game you either email Matt or go through the website and ‘book’ your seat. Either Matt or the website will send you an e-ticket.
The bar code on the e-ticket should match the bar code on your physical card is my expectation and you can either use the e-ticket or your physical card to gain entry.

its the issue that some folk just sit anywhere or just go and sit in their season ticket seat like last Saturday when was a good few in the norrie did that and people who had booked that seat couldn't sit there, and then were breaking social distancing rules

It didn't work in Firefox (90.0.2). I reached the details screen: season ticket numbers, address etc; accepted ts&cs but it failed there. No error on screen or console, just a blank error box.
Switched to Chrome when my session timed out and that worked fine.

At the risk of getting eye strain , I'll try again if I knew where there were some seats available .
Would it not be possible for the site administrators to show aI reasonably updated seat plan showing available seats .

yes can take any seat for this game cause there is social distancing applied still so the already paid seat doesn't matter as they can't guarantee that seat for you but you select another one that's available.

If no seats available in the area u select just move to another area, pretty simple to do.
It's the seats still in red that are available on the system and your to select from the end of the ones available
They can't show an updated seating plan for available seats in a picture as it's a live system so seats get selected and then are held for 15mins, when looking at seats we have seen all 3 games so far seats flash and then be taken when selecting ours.

I didn't get my seat (assumed as they need to create social distancing space)... But picked an unbooked seat a couple of rows down near mine.
Hopefully folk don't try to claim their season ticket seat as will just end up a big hassle
some already were doing that at the stenny game

As thought, they have opened the north east stand now, the section that`s normally closed under the gantry is open , 4 single seats left in the centre stand, small batch up top corner of Section E in Norrie,
With it being an extra possible 400 odd on top of last weeks game, they were going to have to open the North East to get 2000 fans in with social distancing

I don’t think that would be wise to complain seated near there every week not worth the hassle, very few masks on display and the drum boys all congregating no social distancing in the corner .The stewards not bothering about masks and where you sit better keep stum.

Whatever is supposed to happen when you try to book your ticket for the Partick Thistle game just isn`t happening. When you put your ST number in it wants you to renew. It`s renewed already. I don`t want to complain but the setup is just not working. It doesn`t do what is required, it is pretty useless. How do I book my ticket before deadline night? I bought a season ticket. Surely it`s easier than this to say "yes I`m going to be there".

Have to disagree, when it's work the system is very good, simple and free flowing.
The link for Partick tickets just wants u to put in your number so they see its a season ticket holder accessing the system.

As AJ27 says its dead easy, put number in, click on the button, select the area u want to sit in, select seat, go to checkout and enter any info it needs for additional seats your booking for and confirm it. Simples

Aye, apart from the fact that it`s a system set up for renewing your season ticket rehashed to accommodate booking a ticket for the first home league game. Simple after you`ve done it perhaps but too many blind leaps required with no direction given.
Confusing, yes because you have to click on a box which says "renewal" when in fact you don`t want to renew, you want to book a ticket for the Thistle game. If that`s not confusing I don`t know what is.

Eh no system is not set up like that.
The match ticket link for this game and previous games are there to select individual game seats. The season ticket number is just like a log in username so the club know who is selecting the seats.
The system will be used for non season ticket holders for every other home game going forward allowing them to select specific seat they want to sit in and without having to use the ticket office or portacabins on matchday
For season ticket renewals and new purchases there are separate links.
So it's definitely not a system rehashed to accommodate tickets for the Partick game.
Raith also using the system so would expect us to be able to purchase tickets for the visits to Kirkcaldy this season via the website.
As for the no instructions, there was info back at the 1st home game in the cup on how to use the system.

Yes but the renewal for season ticket is different link all together. The renewal part is just logging in to the system, once your in on the match ticket link u can only get tickets for the game advertised.

Aye but ah wisnae at the first home cup game therefore didnae go through the routine before.
If it`s so simple, why did so many posters on this thread find it confusing and by the way I have been informed that an email has been sent to me with my match ticket and still no sign of it. I can send an email to Australia quicker than that.
Just checked it out again, it clearly says "start renewal" and there`s no other way to get to the diagram with the seats without clicking on the box that says "start renewal".

Have to agree with Paralex .
I had trouble with the system as well , I finished up driving down to Dunfermline on Friday to confirm I was going .
There has to be a better way to treat ST holders .
When I pay over £300 for a ST that would indicate I want to attend all games . The system should start from that assumption and then allow fans to inform the club if they might not be attending .

Maybe, but what do they do about seat allocation? If they auto allocate everyone to a distanced seat, folk that want to sit next to family will be unhappy.

Paralex, I have done this 3 times now and every time I panicked as I didn’t receive the email with my ticket - no idea why it goes there but Matt pointed me in the direction of my junk mail and sure enough that’s where they are going.
If this is the system we intend to use for walk ups through the season I do fear it will discourage some people.

One of the challenges with Internet Providers is they try to spot what they think is spam and push that to junk mail.
They have timed threshholds for how many and how often an IP address sends out mass mailings.
We have probably breached those over time, understandably, and are now suffering.
Understanding what the limits are and then changing how we email to ensure we do not breach them can be quite an effort but the results of genuine emails hitting Inbox rather tham Span/Junk can be worth it.

Yes you have to bring the email along as it's a different code to your season ticket as you will probably be in a different seat .as not all season ticket holders will have managed to book there own seat due to social distancing

"Season Ticket holders have until midnight on Tuesday 3rd August to book their seats for the match."
So the online system would surely then allow non season ticket holders to purchase tickets, wont have to have any downtime or reset etc

i reckon be a couple hundred left so will be chance to get tickets but it will be rite down front of the norrie, in the north east stand or south east stand.
4 seats left in the north east, a group of 3 and 1 single seat, centre stand no availability, in the norrie its rite down the front only available, south west is rite at the end next to the tunnel has a small handful available

Looked like a good couple hundred had been sold before that issue on the site so could be problems on Saturday. We had ours sorted before that issue as well, might be worth us emailing the club to make sure hasn't been allocated twice too. Certainly when the site cane back up the seats were unavailable to book so fingers crossed !
