Forrest missed what was for a professional pretty much a sitter that would’ve put this game to bed and seconds after they equalised.
They had enough chances over the two legs to comfortably go through so this would be a really bad defeat.
In saying that this Celtic team is really poor and are in need of major recruitment otherwise Rangers will cruise the league this season and Celtic will have a challenge on for second.

Just to put into context how their lineup was:
Bain
Taylor
Murray
Welsh
Ralston
McGregor
Soro
Turnbull
Christie
Abada
Edouard
They had to bring on an Adam Montgomery as well.

That's what they get for hanging around for Eddie Howe !!!
If they loose Edouard and don't replace him or bring anyone with proper quality in thats a squad struggling to get 4th in the league this season

Testing times for Celtic. Their business model in recent years has been based around attracting talented young players ( Wanyama, Van Dijk, Edouard, Dembele etc) with the lure of regular champions league football and selling them on for huge profits. With that income stream dried up they are floundering. Good for the domestic game though as one or two teams might fancy their chances of second this season.

Bad result for Celtic and Scottish football.
At worst Celtic will still be comfortable in 2nd place in the league. It’s a big
Rebuild job and Celtic have a few already but couldn’t play tonight. The Back 4 plus a goalie are needed, ralston would not get a game for us and wouldn’t want him. Europa league play off match is huge for Finances.

I heard they are trying to save £500k on the Belgian right back. Biscuit tin mentality is still there.
They did exactly the same with John McGinn

It's funny how celtic and rangers have sort of flipped the script in their transfer business. Celtic were great for so many years at having a strong core of players and being able to identify and sign foreign talent on the cheap and then sell them on for a much larger fee to the Premier league
They've made so many bad signings in the last 2-3 years and wasted away millions whilst also missing out on getting into the champions league. They mucked about getting a new manager, holding on for Howe until he pied them off and now they're scrambling about to sign a whole host of new players with the new season around the corner. Totally shambolic...

Fact: Celtic are playing poorly at present with money in the bank.
Fact: Rangers have not played a competitive game yet and are in a massive amount of currently serviceable debt.
If The Rangers are beaten by Malmö then the situation can change very quickly.
It is how these clubs are run and their supporters expectations that is unreasonable and it only gets worse every year. I would genuinely hate to be a supporter of either club. Their highs are moderate but their lows are desperate.
When beaten by Raith in the playoff, disappointing. Not desperate.
Dundee promoted; good luck gents, over the season you deserved it. Not desperate.
Glad I support a good club.

I totally agree, celtic in terms of financial stability are much more sensible than their other half, the point I was trying to make was the actual transfer business has been much more prudent by rangers in the last year or two, whether they can actually afford to do what they're doing is another matter though

100% agree King lad, how can a team win 12 domestic trophies out of 12, to total mince in six months, IMHO you can't blame the manager as he has only played what sshhiitt he's been left.
The blame lies directly with the board for
1, not sacking Neil lennon 6 months earlier
2, waiting an eternity to replace lennon after sacking him
3, Not backing new manager by a flood of signings.

"It’s the exact same strategy as the old club used. Disgusting"
As long as the current residents of Ibrox are not breaking any financial regulations (unlike the previous regime) they can continue to trade as is.
Not a desirable scenario for any club to be in - but presumably they are considered a "good" debt in the world of beancounters ?
