Fantastic interview with the Chairman IMO.
Proud to be a pars fan and have people like him in charge of our club.

Well worth a watch. A thoroughly informative interview. Miracles don’t happen overnight but we do seem to be moving in that sort of direction.

Great interview.
The new training facility and a pars academy is what we need.
As Ross says there would be no time limits so players can train then do weights etc and with the academy there is so many good young boys playing at Pitreavie and then getting signed by Hearts, Dundee Utd, Dundee etc…. These boys should be in the Dunfermline Academy. Get rid of Fife Elite and bring in good coaches to train the youngsters in a Dunfermline Academy.

We are indeed, very lucky to have Ross at the helm .A very level headed guy, good honest information, just what I am looking for, no bull manure.

Great interview, shocked to hear we spent a 6 figure sum on new floodlight system.
We are indeed in good hands

Big point on the floodlights… surely if the new install was not up to the regulations then the company that installed these will be liable to fix right?

Were they not put in back in the late 90s? I know we changed the types of bulbs but not the pylons themselves from what I can remember. Probably went in around 1997?

We changed the pylons around then, had both sets up for a while. I think probably for Bert's first season in the premier, if not then the second.

The lighting levels decrease over time, the Lamps (bulbs) need maintained and changed at the end of their usable life. I guess this hasn’t being carried out for years plus the lighting system is now obsolete.

I take it they have been done, Ross said they had been condemned, I don't think we would be allowed to start the season if floodlights weren't in working order. I know we won't use them for a month or so but I'm sure certificates would have to be in place before start of season

Spot on Jake, 1st November 1997, against Celtic was the 1st time the new floodlights were used.

MDCCCLXXXV, no he says condemned and the work they hope will be carried out and finished by September. Bulbs were replaced a season or so ago but they have had another look at it and system been condemned now.

Good interview and it will be interesting to see where we are in the next 6 months to a year. On the subject of floodlights, I wonder if we have looked into the possibility of LED floodlights. They would be a big money saver in the long term.

Excellent interview. As many people will agree Ross McArthur is a very good chairman, and like the rest of us, he is a Pars fan. I like his honesty and his positive outlook for the future. Hopefully exciting time ahead for the Pars.
