Ayr have just completed the signing of Jonathan Afolabi on loan, should be decent for them

I would have that JA would have either been ready for the first team or have been sold.

First league meeting between Killie and Ayr in 28 years ( hard to believe) my Ayr supporting nephew tells me. Should be a tasty affair, Ayr have waited a long long time for this.

Killie narrowed the pitch for this season??

Know they shortened it a few seasons back.

Has the Killie mascot been peeing on the pitch? Yellow marks (sunlight?) everywhere in that top corner.

It's all Killie but they might end up being punished for all these missed chances

Chris Burke has had a long career. I remember him scoring a wonder goal for Rangers in a Boxing Day game at EEP. We equalised with a last-minute penalty after the ref had warned Kyrgiakos about holding at a corner. He ignored the warning and the ref (Craig Thomson?) pointed to the spot. Darren Young converted to make it 3-3. I`ve just checked and it was 2005!

Killie seem to be lacking a bit upfront, all there threat coming down the right from Burke.

Ayr have been as expected, the striker is doing not bad with the total lack of service though.

I do enjoy the wee half time segments, however having a feature in Hamilton during the Ayrshire derby is a bit odd eh?

Nothing to worry about. Killie has only got a one trick pony in their squad.

Plenty to worry about for me. Killie are big, strong and physical, as were Hearts and Ross county, attributes needed to get out of this league…..mmm?

Thought they looked quite well balanced Yankee, the combination of Polwroth, Naismith and Burke is very, very good for this level.

I suppose there left side of Haunstrup and Murray though is far weaker.

It is very hard to draw conclusions from one game but if we'd swept aside Raith, or even Morton like that we'd be delighted tbf.
