What’s the difference between Fife and south Lanarkshire?

Looking at the fans yesterday at Fir Park. Genuine question I can’t fathom it out when we can only have 2000 and no away fans?

It could be that is what the club requested? Based on Motherwell`s 6.5k, pars could easily get 4-5k inside. Sure hibs had 2000 fans.
Kelty had 1200 out of a 2400 capacity at weekend.

It’s a joke doesn’t the club need the money to apply for more fans ,Patrick would bring at least 600 .The games yesterday hardly a mask in sight and don’t get me started on social distancing ,Even Hamilton had supporters at Raith on Saturday.

This is puzzling me as well, shouldn’t it be a fixed ratio of capacity for all?
If we are one sixth, Clubs with 18,000 seats should be limited to 3,000 fans?
Or am I missing something - which wouldn’t be unusual!

What criteria applies? What needs to be complied with that we can’t meet for say 4000?
Pardon silly questions, totally in the dark

It will be more than just a percentage of capacity that is taken into account for what the grounds are being allowed by each council.

At the moment we have the away team changing in the east stand so that rules out using that stand,

We have had to open the north east stand to help take up to 2000 fans inside east end park with the social distancing requirements, as large percentage of the seats taken are singles and twos so it knocks out large number of seats around it that people can't be sitting in at the moment.

At the moment (let's hope it all changes from after next week) the teams are 100% correct to look after their own supporters if there is limitations on numbers. Raith only just sold over 1100 season tickets so allowing a couple hundred Hamilton fans in one area isn't an issue. We are at over 2000 now so even with an allowed capacity of 2500, we wouldn't be suppolyimg any away tickets and rightly so.

Motherwell game yesterday was clear to see that large numbers hadn't adhered to the guidelines, the 2k to away fans in theory could be possible as could sell to groups of 15 people on supporters buses etc, but from what seen yesterday was more than 15 in groups at the game. As for how they got to be allowed 6.5k or whatever it was to me is a mystery when think that's 4.5k in the home ends between 3 stands, 1 is tiny behind the goal, mainstand only runs 2/3 up the touch line and the stand opposite bot much bigger than our North stand which holds 2300 at east end park .

Thanks for the explanation, kind of makes sense re our 2000 capacity with the rules within the stadium. Just sticks in the craw a bit when you see other teams absolutely not sticking to national rules set out by the Scottish Gov and the SPFL.

Just looking at the Killie pages for tonight`s game, and they have a 5 min staggered entry time and warning if not at ground for that time you wont be allowed access, they saying under level zero masks to be worn at all times, while Fife councils view varies for 3 grounds so far, EEP at all times, Kelty no need when inside ground and Starks was only when moving. Killie also have staggered leaving plans for what section you are in.

Looks like Killie also had major issues with their ticketing company, they also requiring temp checks for entrance.

In the 3 games we have had at EEP, cant say been any issues gaining access into the ground on matchdays or leaving

Also worth noting that there were unsold tickets for our game on Saturday AND there were a handful of Pars fans in the stadium. This is according to a fella on Radio Scotland. I didn't catch his name but it sounds like he goes round various stadiums and was at the game. There was a suggestion that some people may feel uncomfortable going just now or can't be bothered with the faff of pre-booking.

It'd be good to see more of EEP opened if possible.

Are players still doing lateral flow tests?

Surely we are past the stage of separate changing areas?

If things go as expected tomorrow then yes.

From Monday 9th there should be no crowd number restrictions in place.

Maybe the club didn’t want to risk the consequences of spectators not adhering to guidelines so didn’t think it was worth it for one game only.

I heard the guy on radio Scotland talk about the pars fans there. He said there were about a dozen on a hill outside the stadium and the stewards kept moving them on.
