Surprised there has been no thread about him being subbed two games in a row.
Very strange.

When I look at our players I am struggling to think who would be best suited. Certainly not DT .

Comrie took the arm ban for the second half so he will probably be the man.

I just don’t see anyone who really gets the team motivated especially when we go behind. They all seem pretty quiet. Where is our mid field enforcer? Our leader? The guy who will not accept defeat easily and who never hides.

Only one player can wear the armband but you need at least three who fit the bill.

I don’t think we have any really.

When the going got tough yesterday too many were hiding.

We may have a good few technically good players but that does not make a good team.

We need leaders, grafter, growlers…..if the first two games are anything to go by then we are in for a very disappointing season ahead.

Journeymen pros and part time players will run rings round us if we pussy foot around as we did yesterday. We did not even get the basics right.

Very worrying.

There was a Facebook post yesterday that I made a comment about Thomas being hooked.
I asked the question if there was a potential problem already between him and Grant, but I only got laughed at.
2 games in 2 games hooked, not something you see with your captain.
It looks like Grant isn`t going to play him on the wing come hell or high water, but he isn`t a central midfielder.

"we need leaders, grafters, growlers....."
I'd go as far as to say Peter Grant needs to ask the board for funds to bring in - rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, bvggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, ****-kickers and Methodists.

Peter Grant had a budget.

He spent his central midfield funds on Dan Pybus, Cole and Dorrans.

Pybus, Cole and dorrans might just get us out of this league……..seaside here we come!

On the plus side, we’ll fix it with another centre back signing no doubt!

More like yesterday and grant will fast run out goodwill. Strikers aside that set up is awful, we had solid full backs last year and grant currently destroying their confidence.

I’m all for young loans from other clubs if they are good enough, but Graham has walked into the team and so far isn’t good enough, what was the point in signing the big Lithuanian?

Every year is the same, we lose the midfield battle, this years misfits we’ll try and turn into central midfielders look no where near good enough.

2 year deal for dorrans looks a disaster, old experienced heads work….if the player has the hunger and can compete at this level….

Here’s hoping for a big improvement, god knows what Friday will bring but it’s not going to be good.

Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

More to the point, why is Dom getting played out of position. He should be out on the wing not playing in the middle of the park.

If you listen to PG interview he spjr about captains and said he doesn't like having 1 captain and he would prefer having 22. He said something along the lines of if your captain it doesn't mean you can't be subbed. To be honest any of the midfielders could have been hooked at half time and had no complaints.

c'mon the pars

I remember Jimmy C saying something similar about have 5 or 6 “ captains” on the field.

Way I see it we have none.

I know we will never have another Norrie but by god we need someone now who will take responsibility on the park and drive the players forward and who will lead by example when the chips are down.

Who fits that mould? Answers on a postcard..

He might prefer to have 22 captains but at the moment he has zero.

Loving the Blazing Saddles reference but at the moment PG is almost as unpopular as the new Sheriff

It'll be Peter Grants doing, don't think anyone on here is in a position to say whether it's a good or a bad thing etc, he'll be making a point.

Could be a problem between Grant and the players already.
The players look so disinterested already it`s a major worry, even this early.

Norris was involved in some shocking performances at Ibrox as well - it’s easy to look at the past with rose tinted glasses.
