Probably 3 or 4 goals would be an acceptable outcome of tonight`s game, but a 5 or 6 goal Victory would be even better.
Joking apart, after last week all we can hope for is a spirited performance tonight, total concentration needed from the start, and hopefully we can avoid the loss of an early goal, and also hope that our young inexperienced team don`t buckle under the pressure. Good luck to the team tonight. COYP.

Surprised and not in a way
I would have taken Graham out for the Partick game but maybe that sends the wrong message to the lad, that one bad game and your out, but he had 2 very dodgy performances and given another shot which if makes mistakes tonight surely would need seriously looked at for next week.
Mehmet, maybe a bit different for gk but guess when a gk makes a mistake in a game there isn't much he can do apart from perform in the next game if selected, so here's hoping they both perform

Playing that formation is suicidal, we should have been parking the bus but Grant seems to think that we can go with an attacking line up and give them a game.

Playing that formation is suicidal, we should have been parking the bus but Grant seems to think that we can go with an attacking line up and give them a game.
Shocking management!!
Was willing to give PG a chance and see where we are at the end of the year but team selection/tactics like tonight are very questionable on his management ability.
while 3 at the back has pros and cons, imagine going there and parking the bus but still pumped by 7 or 8 , be getting it in the neck for being too defensive
The thing with that is though is that the fans by and large understand football to say "We're playing the best team we're going to play all season, it's absolutely understandable if we line up differently to how we did against Stenhousmuir"
If you line up in a decent enough manner and get pumped it is what it is, we are simply playing a far superior time. Set us up like this though and fans will rightfully be annoyed, and a bit embarrassed at what's happening.

Going by the first 35 minutes, it could end up 7 or 8. Maybe we should employ delaying tactics in the second half, goalie wasting time at goal kicks and taking the ball to the corner flag. But maybe we will never make it far enough up the park to reach the corner flag. Things can only get better.

Everyone would agree Dom was playing well looked up for it and no
He’s bombed out
Back 3 doesn’t work not sure how many games we have to persist with it
Dom who has had 2 shockers in the league and hooked after 60 and 45 mins in the games?

This is embarrassing, after these last few games we at least should be putting in a performance….. but why play a formation that’s clearly no working at any level. PG needs to find the right formation……….why does he think we were going to give a decent performance basically play 3 up front.

Pars207 both playing in the middle next to Dorrans.
What’s Dorrans done in those games? Waste of a wage money could’ve been used elsewhere.
We were winning and he changed a winning team and brought Dorrans straight in. Since then we haven’t kicked a ball.
3-0 against Partick and no changes at the back. Gaspuitis ain’t the answer either.
Pybus - I would get a game ahead of him.
Grant will be out soon. He’s got to have 2nd biggest budget and with the squad he has should be getting so much more. His decisions are baffling

That's what I was hoping he'd use it for, but my thinking in line with that was that we'd have a different formation and a new player to get match fitness (one of the cbs on the bench) the thought of this system against Raith terrifies me.

Will you still be jumping on every critical post if it gets to 7 or 8? Total apologist for an absolute embarrassment.
Graham came rushing out when the ball was played forward leaving a massive gap in behind him for Roofe to exploit so maybe if Vytas was playing he wouldn't have made such a schoolboy mistake.

From Grants interviews he talks a good game and when discussing transfers it’s his way or no way.
That’s the problem with this formation it’s in his head and it won’t change.
Watson is over compensating as he has Comrie on 1 side playing at CB when it’s no his position and Graham on the other who is well - gash.
Dorrans hasn’t the legs for a 2 in midfield, Pybus offers nothing.
Wighton is a hit or a miss but no battler.
The formation is the biggest problem, fix that and our season could turn

Yes, I would like to see Vytas at the back too. If the gossip is true, the big fella`s not happy at EEP, and I think most of us would understand why.
That team selection today is beyond shocking. It is naive to think that a formation that has not been working will suddenly come good in an away game at Ibrox.
The only good thing I can see is the healthy size of the crowd, which should bring in a fair bit of money to the club.

We've had a lot of players back in defensive areas so I'm not entirely sure the formation is the issue. We've made mistakes in areas you can't make mistakes and have generally been out classed. Like a few others though I'm slightly surprised we've got an international center half on the bench when we don't have natural center half's playing as center halfs. Does seem a bit strange.

Dorrans is less effective than Paton and that`s saying something. He`s been a disaster so far.
Once that first goal was conceded the players heads went down and the game plan obviously went out the window.
I feel most sorry for the Pars fans in the stadium just now having to put up with this spectacle and the moronic sevco fans.

There's still a chance for positives, hopefully this is the final nail in the 343 coffin, if PG comes away from this and goes to a formation which gets the best out of the players... Then ironically getting skelped by 4 in the first half by Rangers might be the catalyst for this season.

No, everyone can.
However if today we lined up with no defenders and just lined up with 10 attackers would you still be saying the same? "Ach Well we don't have the better players so what's the point?".
Fans want the manager to set the team up so it gives them the best chance of winning, we didn't do that today.
I'm genuinely surprised any Pars fan needs that explained to them, we went to Parkhead against the best team in Scotland, who had won the treble treble and ran them so close.

Of course not, however you'd like to think that it would be in the managers considerations?
course it will be , though sure it was 4/4/2 last time at raith and that went well I recall.....
And it was a 4231/4411 when we beat Raith 4-1...
Do you honestly think the 343 is the best way to set up this team?
in certain games it has its place but for every game..... no

On that we utterly agree, I thought it was fantastic against teams where you have a clear advantage in, and it can really help push home that advantage.
Against teams where the games going to be a bit more even, or against better defences?no tah.
Not a surprise though, the team you'd play against Brechin wouldn't be the team you'd play against Barcelona etc.

I was very surprised to see Dorrans starting against Morton just a few days after we signed him, with not time at all to get to know the other players and settle in. We weren`t that desperately bad at the time, having qualified in second place for the next round of the league Cup.

Grant has created a problem that wasn’t there. Last season our defence was fairly sound. Comrie, Watson, Murray and Edwards. He only had to replace 1 CB. Shields and Whittaker were both there and and should know that.
The formations Grant is trying to play of 5-2-1-2 just doesn’t work. If Comrie and Graham are 2 of the 3 first choice centre halves then we should give up now.
Dorrans should never have been in the starting 11 at Morton.
Dom has been dropped like a hot potatoe since.
As for developing young talent what must Paul Allan be thinking?
We need to get back to basics and play 4-4-2. Say what you like but it’s straight forward and something they have been used to

Comrie and Graham are playing i would guess cause he wants 2 centre halfs to be on the ball and play from the back. Issue from last week was Comrie didn't seem to want to go forward or told not too on the right hand side of the park
Dorrans for me can only play in a 3 with least 1 of then bombing forward. Paul Allan I would give an extended run in the team personally, can't be worse than Thomas has been or what Cole has produced so far

Don't think will picked up any injuries, take the money and move on. Yes disappointing and people unhappy but even their 2nd 11 are in a different league to what we are. But that's where we are at the moment and people need to wake up and realise this.

Comrie has been 1 of most consistent performers at RB.
A defenders job is to stop goals no play nice football. If that is the aim it’s failing. No point constantly trying for success when it’s no working. That’s 3 games in a row and we have been dross.
Morton should’ve been out of sight, Partick cuffed us and whilst i didn’t expect to win tonight I did expect there to be some heart on display. Same Herat we show by pumping money into the club.
If we lose next week Grant needs to go, look at Hamilton Rice gone after 2 games no time for any sort of sentiment, if the owners want totes help there goals then changes need to happen

If this idiot ( PG) persists with the same formation/players for the Raith game then god help us.
There is a right way to lose a game and we need to see big changes next week.
Not only in formation but starting 11.
We have to go 4231, away from home, be hard to beat…..at least.
We are a joke just now.
Can he turn it around? … Early days, but I am sure we can scrape fourth over the season.
I have said in previous posts that this season was not going to go well.

We have lost games against them by more than 5 in previous games even with a SPL squad never mind a SPL1 squad.
Was at a League cup semi at Hampden when we lost 5-0 to Rangers many years ago, it’s not the end of the world.
League campaign is where PG will prove his worth or not.
IMO we are stronger than last season but PG has to convince that he is the man we need for promotion.

After hearing that, I now know that he should not have got the job. When Dorrans was at Dundee he looked poor, why did we sign him. The young lad from Dundee Utd gave away goals against Dumbarton and Stenhousemuir, Pybus was not a superstar. I could go on and on about most of his signings, but the positions that he is making some of the players play in is criminal. I remember Pars TV having to edit his after match after beating Alloa at EEP. If he speaks like that to the players in the dressing room it will come to a point when they won't want to play for him.

I’m not really going to take tonight’s game with any weight. They are far superior both financially and depth of playing squad.
The thing for me is lessons need to be learned, going on that showing we certainly do not deserve to be playing at premiership level. I felt our manager fed us to the wolves by trying to play usual tactics which have so far been extremely ineffective.
If this form continues to another Raith pounding then we’re screwed. Falling so far away so early is soul destroying in a season where we sent our message out that we would be aiming for number 1 spot.

What a difference from the Celtic cup match 2 seasons ago, different manager, different tactics and players who fought for every ball.
The saying `be careful what you wish for` comes to mind, all the fans wanting Crawford out, he would never have set up his team like that or indeed have signed the players Grant has. He knew when something was wrong and tried something different at least. Grant insists on playing the players he signed and ignoring the others unsure if this is down to sheer arrogance or not.

Best side in the country over past year or so, at home v mediocre 2nd tier opposition.
Compounded by Rangers three recent defeats which had them focused - we were never going to get anything at Ibrox, as predicted by most.

Must’ve missed it last season when Crawford was the tactical mastermind some are claiming here, was his idea of changing it up having a centre back and a 36 year old right back as his midfield pairing. Maybe we should stop comparing the two managers and just admit both look as hopeless as each other
