Topic Originator: istvan kozma

I can't find any info on whether we can attend the match on Friday. Does anyone know? I think I must have missed the memo.

Fact it all online and tickets can be printed or kept on mobile phone means can purchase very easily 24/7 when they are available, no need to go to a ticket office etc.

Tbf, that's what I'll end up doing too. Easy to switch off and do something else when you're not in the stadium.

Does anyone know if there's an option to go and buy tickets in person .
Not everyone has success (me !) or even access on-line .
I know of one or two people through my way who used to get me to pick up tickets for them at the club shop .

it's a bit strange Dunfermline haven't announced anything about selling tickets and it's only been a tweet by the Rovers about tickets going on sale.

In a post pandemic age where you’d think the customer experience is king, it really is galling how often football clubs can’t get the simplest of things right.

Cause its all online with ability to select your seats rather than just be given the seats at random at the ticket office. Every away club coming to east end park will have the same way of purchasing tickets.

totally agree, the simple basic details are missed out but if clubs employ people with no experience or PR skills etc, then it's to be expected really, which is poor for a pro team.

Scottish football is doing what they do best, everything they can possibly do to make it difficult for fans to attend games

Don’t they realise that! They will all be complaining soon about falling attendances and lack of cash flow, perhaps they need to take a long look at how the clients (yes clubs that’s us, the fans) are being treated

Sometimes I feel people almost go out their way to find an excuse not to attend or at least exaggerate how difficult it is to buy tickets.

Don`t really see what the issue is...it`s exactly the same principle for attending a gig or booking a flight yet it`s somehow a massive hindrance to football fans to buy online?

Wind yer necks in.

The clubs both said ticket link would be working and online at 10.30. It went live an hour after it was supposed to.

Quite right folk should be annoyed when it’s a simple thing that’s being asked of the club - ie - get your house in order so fans can buy tickets!!

Appreciate that LEGEND but in this day and age, booking online to buying old fashioned way must be a 95/5 split i would suggest.

There will be an option for the small amount to purchase a ticket from a ticket office but online is by far the most convenient and speedy process and reduces time spent in the day for fans looking to purchase tickets and the staff in the club shops, so its a win win situation for all those involved

Say the club shop had the tickets to sell today with no online sales, thats 2 or 3 members of staff probably selling them for the next 3 or 4 days for 5 or 6 hours at a time, just dishing out tickets not knowing where the seats are so your lumped with whatever ur allocated, fans in a queue for say 20 to 30 mins taking time out their day to go get them. Online set up so much simpler, easier to navigate and use.

I haven`t followed the system right through to checkout but how do they check entitlement to concessions? The matches so far at EEP were restricted to ST holders so info justifying concessions would be held on the system.

The system of buying tickets online is fine and I agree that it’s the way to go but it never seems to work, always down or not user friendly or something preventing people buying first time every time or emails not arriving

If we and other clubs want to adopt this as the way to purchase tickets then at least make sure it works properly

On this occasion it has nothing to do with DAFC but Rovers do seem to be experiencing the same issues as we have

Both DAFC and Raith have just switched to a new system operated by Future Ticketing so perhaps no surprise there have been some teething issues.

Our system was tested before going live but we still encountered problems. It's difficult to replicate a live situation when testing a system like this. I'm sure Rovers tested their system too but unfortunately there was an issue for us away fans. However, it did seem to be resolved relatively quickly for most.

Hopefully the system will work much more smoothly going forward.

I`m sure people arent as stupid as me but worth being careful when buying your tickets. I ended up buying through the Raith website and bought tickets in the home end by accident.

They dont give you an option to buy in the end away end if you go directly through the Raith website. You need to click on the link that DAFC tweeted out from their social media accounts to be taken to away end ticket purchase.

As I said I`m sure most people arent as dumb as me but if I did it then wouldnt be surprised if other people have done the same.

Alternatively, if you can, edit the pdf with all the tickets and save as individual ones and then forward on a different one to each person.

Best not to pass on the whole pdf, that's just going to lead to turnstyle chaos with multiple people trying the same ticket, getting KB'd, pissed off and slowing things up for everyone else.

It would be better if they sent separate emails for each ticket, had them as separate attachments or, better still, allowed you to add an email address for each ticket.

I haven't been on The Rovers site so it might well do some of the above, but when buying for a group at East End all the tickets came in one email in one attachment.

Parsmad123, its around 900 have sold so far.

Pars site also says

"Please note there will be no cash gate on Friday night, the match is strictly ticket only." So guessing that`s no portacabins for anyone wanting to turn up and not use the online system.

We should get over a thousand. I think people need to remember that given what has happened in the last 18 months folk are not comfortable just going from lock down restrictions and then all of a sudden mixing with hundreds of people.

I think that's a bigger factor than the game being on the TV.

I suppose from a football sense maybe some dunfermline fans are scared that we might end up with another poor performance and heavy defeat.

I've got my ticket but I Don't really have much confidence about the game tomorrow

Doesn’t look like 900 sold judging by the amount of available seats on the ticket link. Would expect us to take atleast 1500 though. This time last year every football fan in the world would have bitten your hand off for a game on a Friday night against your biggest rivals.

Must admit I've offered reason why the crowd might be poor but it looks terrible.

Poor form, On TV and still some fallout from Covid, disappointing but not entirely surprising, lets hope there`s some more late buyers

I think there are still people who think that there will be a pay at the gate option as The Rovers normally do

I really don’t think that is going to happen and it will be online sales only, this will lead to a lot of people around the outside of the stadium frantically buying tickets on their phones last minute
