 WHW for DADSC
Topic Originator: 60yearapar

I am walking the West Highland Way in 5 days starting on 03/09/21 and thought that this could be an opportunity to raise some funds for the DADSC lift fund, I got in touch with the General Secretary( Stanza) and was meant to meet with him to discuss various ways of getting maximum publicity for this, unfortunately as some may know, Stanza was hospitalised before we could do this. I`m now posting on here ( admin feel free to move to off topic if need be) to encourage anyone who would like to contribute to this and help make all areas of EEP accessible to all to do so at the following link ( hopefully it works ! )

If the link isn`t working ( which with my tech skills, it won`t be) it can also be found and works on the DADSC Facebook page.
If someone could rectify this for me it would be greatly appreciated

As an admin that is "rotten to the core" I feel it`s only right that these kinds of posts trying to help the club need to be removed without warning !

p.s only joking. You may realise that one particular so called fan upset me on one of the other threads.😁

p.p.s good luck on the walk, I`ll ensure that dafc.net donates to your very worthwhile cause and that we don`t delete your request

Well done Frank, good luck on your trip.

Once again Pars fans are showing a spirit of generosity that is nothing short of amazing.

I reckon by now Frank should have started his walk, just as the weather broke. The midges will be pleased...

If you want to support him, click on one of the links in the thread. Thanks.

DADSC`s outdoor reporters caught up with Frank Smart for photographic evidence that he is indeed doing what he promised, walking the West Highland Way to raise funds to improve access for disabled fans at EEP. Well done, Frank.

Frank is headed for Bridge of Orchy today, and plans to reach Fort William on Tuesday, after a 96 mile walk. If you want to give Frank some impetus to keep on going, you can support his efforts at this website. £160 has been raised so far from generous fans.

Well we`ve made it to Bridge of Rocky although the feet and back(rucksack weighing in at over 2 stones) are begining to take a pounding. Yesterday`s stage from Balmaha to Inverarnan was brutal, anyone who sings about the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond hasn`t walked them

Delighted to report that Frank Smart has completed the West Highland Way walk for DADSC in 5 days, and he brought his Pars mask along for the final photo!

There`s still time to throw a few pounds into the pot if you can afford it - all the money raised will go towards improving facilities for disabled fans of all clubs at East End Park.

Many thanks to all who have given generously to this(I even persuaded a Falkirk fan to give)
It was tough going at times and I`m probably going to be a couple of toe nails lighter but all for a good cause. Again much appreciated

I hope Frank will recover soon and be back looking as well as his pal on the left.
