The thing that worries me the most is, the players I really don’t think have been playing for him, they don’t have a clue what they’ve to do half the time and the only time they look like they have a rocket up their bottom is when the fans are urging them on.

This isn’t a team that’s off form…this is a team who’s had enough and wants him out as much as the fans. It’s been evident for a while which is why the board should’ve acted much quicker.

This wasn’t recoverable.

When Connolly came on the park at the start of the game he was the only one who clapped the supporters. Small things go a long way. The fans travelled a long way to support the team and an aknowledgement that they were there by the players would ensure the fans got behind them even if struggling.

Board meeting should be to sack them for appointing Grant, the system he tried to play got us into this mess.Damage is done wth players confidence being shot.
A big rebuilding job needed ar East End Park starting with the board.

Loads of rebuilding required but grant has saddled us with a shed load of duds.

New man can’t have much budget unless we can move some of these imposters on. It’s like falkirk a few seasons back, a team of duds and they had to go down as they were stuck with them.

I mean we can return Graham but mehmet, dorrans, toddy, leon jones, Cole, breen these guys will take us down.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

I don`t see that much in the present crop of players that any manager can turn into a championship contending team. To play for 90 minutes against Queen of the South and not have one shot on target must be some kind of record.

Im just guessing maybe they have been working on a replacement whilst giving him his opportunity to turn things round.
In the real world it isnt wuite as simple as ok off you go lad and here pal you can start.
Maybe one eye on the international weekend, maybe maybe maybe its jist not as simple as people who have never ran a football team think.

I didn't say he was wrong. I'm questioning why, if it's true, he's put it on a forum. If I'd been told in confidence, I'd have kept it to myself.

On the other hand, if he's been told that he can put it on the forum, that's a total sh*t-show.

I'm pretty sure Grant won't be in charge for the Killie game but there's a correct way of doing things.

I think most of the supporters may wish they could zoom out of the country and escape from the deep depression surrounding East End Park.

I want Grant out; have done since the surrender at Ibrox. White flag football is distressing to watch. But you don`t hang a man on a Saturday night when passions are running high. That says more about us than him.

Let`s make it a judicial execution with a hangman and a priest to make it legally binding. A lawyer as well. Monday morning will be time enough.

Grant`s heart was never in EEP, but in Paradise; not a great fault: maybe Jock Stein was the the same. But Stein LEFT Celtic as reserve coach to further his career at EEP. The feeling is that Grant would have taken the return journey if offered.

Define ‘white flag’ as the way I read it - albeit without seeing it, admittedly - he lined up as if we were facing Berwick Rangers than thee Rangers, and went for it. I have never seen lack of desire as Grant’s issue.

We never got out of our own half to take the game to Rangers and at least earn some respite.
We barely strung three passes together the entire game.
Our full/wing backs were overloaded throughout the 90 minutes, in a game that looked like a training session for Rangers. Their confidence has never recovered fully since.
The team plan seemed to be to limit the level of defeat.

On top of that, the manager of DAFC, claimed ridiculous positives after tjhis hammering.

That`s what I mean by white flag football. Kelty Hearts might have lost 8-0 but at least left their mark on the gamer. We never did.

Aye, this. A thousand times this.

This should've been done last night, if the board members aren't available on a Saturday what on earth are they doing as board members? I'm going to presume here (which can be daft) that seeing as our German contingent didn't go to there first game till a few weeks back that surely the practice of holding these matters over zoom, or teams is well established?

Why the need to wait?

"That`s life supporting the Pars. If you`re wanting a smooth journey or a series of great seasons in a row, you`re barking up the wrong tree - unless you`ve time travelled back to the 1960s."

On the subject of barking up the wrong tree, you`ve come to wrong place to make a lecture.

Having been through all the roller coaster seasons since 1961, I can assure you it`s never been a smooth journey, and his season, so far, has easily been as bad as any of the previous wilderness years.

I didn`t think any manager could surpass Forsyth, Stanton or Scott etc. of the depression era - but Grant is clearly a nominee.

Fairly certain that since the first lockdown and particularly since the new investors joined the board, most (if not all) board meetings will have taken place via video call. If and when issues need to be addressed urgently, this will be what is used. Nobody being parked at the stadium does not mean that directors aren’t discussing the current situation the club is in.
