First Scotland game in a good 5/6 years for me, became a supporters club member following our exit in the Euros to Croatia, the bug certainly bit me. With guys like Gilmour and McGinn I think we`re going places.
Driving through with my old man, really looking forward to it. Any ideas on the best places to park? I always thought of the big Asda near Hampden but I`m sure thousands of other Scots will be thinking the same.

Our buses park near the international bar and normally get away quite quick, a few industrial estate streets around that I'm sure can be parked in down that way iirc
Maybe a 20 minute walk up to hampden
I'd avoid using Asda as it takes ages to get out

Both teams know each other well but I think we need to be in their faces and not let them play their passing game they like with their backs overlapping
need Adams and Dykes to keep them busy

Yes Patterson is losing the ball too much. He`s not experienced enough. The Israeli tactics are cynical. Writhing about pretending injury at every opportunity. Why did the ref. allow them to debate the penalty with him for so long. Obviously knew what they were doing. Dykes was standing waiting for ages and his effort was useless. I`m sure I could have put that in. Very frustrating.

His effort wasn’t useless, he hit it exactly how he wanted to. Not sure if it’s a confidence thing or not but he tends to always go middle, just takes a brave keeper to stay in position and it’s a save.
As a striker surely you’d back yourself to find a corner and if keeper saved it, then fair play, but saving the penalty like that is just criminal.

If Dykes isn't confident enough to take a decent penalty he shouldn't be the taker.
Looked like the pressure got to him and he blasted it.
How was their second not ruled out for handball by VAR. Looked it clearly came off the guys arm.

Yes the penalty was useless in my humble opinion. Having taken probably more than 100 penalties at various levels, the first principal is to put it where the goalie isn`t, not where he is. But I`ll let him off for sticking that one in. But these Israelis are a bunch of sneaks.

I said the same Berry. Far too open at the back. I listened to Michael Stewart earlier in the day bemoaning Robertson for not cutting out cross balls enough and it was there to be seen.
In an attacking sense it reminded me of the performance at Wembley in the play-off second leg 20 years ago. Its just great to watch when they are rampaging forward.

Not going to dig out my post after the Austria game, but it was along the lines of “ Lyndon Dykes penalty was one of the worst - scored- penalties I have ever seen”. Tonight I could not believe that he went down the middle again and indeed scuffed it too. One of the worst penalties I have ever seen at international level.
Thankfully he scored later and Scotland won, deservedly.
I can’t get my head round why he went down the middle again or why the coaching staff did not state the obvious and said to him . “ FFS don’t do that again “.

Aye, I think it’s safe to assume now that Griffiths has had it. He must be a particularly special kind of stupid to blow the umpteen chances he’s had. Without sounding biased I’d like to see Nisbet get a couple of games ahead of Adams. I had high hopes for the Southampton man but he hasn’t overly impressed me yet. However, I know he can score goals. It also seems McBurnie has had it too. I really was rooting for him too. Shame.

Must agree with comments on the poor penalty, he got lucky with the previous one but not this time. Doesn’t even go down the middle with either kick, just off centre so the keeper has a chance to get a boot on it if he goes the right way, and both did. Austrian keeper dived over the other one, the power beat him, but last night was a horrible sclaff.
Hope that’s his last.
Edit: I do like the guy btw!

Israel used all the dark arts tactics coupled with a baldy ref, Scotland did well to maintain their discipline and come through victorious
Clark has made us hard to beat and is instilling some belief in the players, you could see how much it meant to them at the end of the game

We looked really solid away at Austria and really vulnerable at the back yesterday.
2nd half performance was great though. Just brushed off the penalty miss and made sure it wasn't going to be 'one of those days'.
Four points against both Israel and Austria is a great return and exactly what was needed.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

The biggest mystery to emerge from last night is how Gilmour isn't a first pick in a poor Norwich side?
So great to watch a Scotland team comfortable on the ball in most areas.

I think he's started the majority of games this season.

Gilmour Started first 6 games I think and they lost them all. He is only just turned twenty so a wee spell on the bench won’t do him any harm. Great player.
On another note it’s great to see the football players taking a leaf out of the rugby boys book and actually singing the National anthem with a bit of gusto.
For too long Scotland players either stood in stoney silence or half heartedly mouthed the words. I think someone has had a wee word with them.

That was a great second half despite the disappointment of the penalty miss before HT. Felt really good to watch a scottish team surging forward with pace applying pressure instead of trying to walk the ball into the net.
Stand outs for me was McGinn amd Gilmour always on the edge of my seat when McGinn gets a chance to take a shot.
Onto the Faroes on Tuesday a game that holds some concerns for me, the biggest being the fake turf. I watched the Faroes vs Austria and the Austrians struggled to an extent on that surface. Denmark who have scored 27 goals in 7 matches only won there with a late 85th minute goal.
Hopefully we can get an early goal and go on from there. Isreal won 0-4 there so hopefully we can emulate that.
Really love how Clarke has us playing though all positive

I thought the standout player on the park yesterday was Callum McGregor, I'm not a fan of his but I thought yesterday he played his best game in a Scotland top.
He was always there for the ball, Allowing John McGinn and Billy Gilmour pressure their defence. Never one to shy out off a tackle either.
East End Park is a symbol of all that is DAFC.

And what about unionist Scots...about half the nation. Do we expect them to sing a separatist dirge?

If 15 Rugby Unionists can sing it with gusto then 5-1/2 fitba’ players can…. And did…. 55000 fans did too. Obviously they were all “ separatists “ 🤓

I see Steve Clarke has heeded our advice. Change of penalty taker on the cards!

Che Adams isn`t going to be fit for tomorrow`s match; a chance for Nisbet maybe, or will he play Christie or Fraser as support for Dykes?
