RIP, Walter. What an excellent career he had.
First person I ever played against at senior level. I ran about a lot but don`t think I managed to get a tackle in on him?
This still makes me laugh

I thought he was underrated as a manager and didn't quite get the credit he deserved down South. Fergie rated him highly though so I guess that's not bad backing to have. RIP.

73 is no age at all in this day and age. RIP, Walter.
Not your average Sunday League player.

One of the greatest managers to grace the Scottish Leagues. I would imagine he deserves a minutes applause at least at all the grounds for all he has done in Scottish football. RIP Walter. Very sad news.

There will be a minutes silence at all games this midweek. Rightly so.

A real gentleman and superb manager. Had a really great career. Always remember seeing him at the memorial service for Norrie.
Fair enough the 9 in a row titles won with the defunct Ibrox outfit are forever tainted by the financial irregularities but I would imagine he didn't have much to do with that.
Good manager, nice chap. RIP
