The BoD must take action after that absolute crap today. Then again, they really shouldn't have to. Grant should do the decent thing and resign. He won't though so it's up to the BoD to pull the trigger.

Gutted!
False hope after 9 minutes only to see everything crumble. Why?
Give Arbroath their due: theyāre a tough team to break down with no shortage of skill and brawn - notwithstanding theyāre part timers. Their chasing and harrying put us constantly on the back foot and seemed to wear us down to the extent that our passing game (such as it was) went to pieces. You can easily see why they are near the top of the league.
Doesnāt help though when you try disastrous short corners that achieve nothing and result in immediate dangerous counter attacks. That, or your goalkeeper persists in rolling out the short ball or passing short to defenders who are already covered by the opposition or are in danger of being caught in possession.
Their second goal was catastrophic: OFW caught in no manās land, flapping at fresh air and only one of our defenders at the back post against, what, three attackers?
As for the other three goals? You couldnāt complain about any of them. All were well taken.
Latterly it truly became men against boys.
The substitutions by PG were frankly worse than useless as the fourth goal proved.
Iāve been trying to remain optimistic that things will turn around but Iām finding myself siding with the neāersayers this evening.
No doubt now, despite his apparent commitment and determination, that PGās coat is on the shoogly peg tonight.

As several have already stated, the squad isnāt good enough, grants signings are mostly dug meat, our new manager will need to be given funds to sign 2 or 3 players at least in January to get us out of this mess.
Sadly some of the dug meat is on 2 year deals so Grants reign will continue to hamper us for some time to come.
There is some hope tho, a good manager will get a lot more out of this squad. Thomas and ohara can score goals, defensively we will be not too bad once Connolly (grants only decent signing IMO) is fit again. Signing two players who are reasonably good in central midfield would improve the team immensely. Itās not actually all doon and gloom if the correct actions are taken. Grant out. A manager and 2 midfielders in.

Dont agree with the whole post but I do with the conclusion.

I like the majority of Pars fans was totally against the appointment of a manager who had just relegated his previous club , he actually had no plus point yet was given the job without applying despite others having done so, yet what did the board and investors see in him or were they advised , looking into the Macnamara connection might reveal more

There were a lot of people commenting on how good a manager they thought he was during last season. General feeling seemed to be he would do well with a good full time squad.
The board seem to have adopted this perception too.
People have short memories.

It took me till around the 5-0 rangers defeat to realise he wasnāt up for this gig. The fact heās still here is embarrassing, I said a few weeks ago other fans look
At our club for entertainment and oh boy see they getting it. I love my club and Iām angry that this has went on for this long.

We are a weak side, whether a new manager can change that remains to be seen but we can`t continue with Grant. Rarely has a new managerial appointment been met with such apathy, we all kinda knew he wasn`t what we needed but it happened.
There is absolutely no excuse for some of the reported behaviour. I`m as passionate as anyone but get a grip.

You do yourself a disservice. Up till then we'd scored 13 goals in the 4 league cup games including losing 1-0 to St Mirren. Then we drew 2-2 with Morton before the first league defeat by Thistle.
You were a much better judge than me if you called it then so fair play.

Aye it was mostly the 10 conceded in 3 games that prompted the early Call, that and the relegating of the previous club but thatās just how I felt at the time.
Maybe Iām just a dummy who stumbled into getting this one right.

If Grant is removed then watch them just give the job to Shields

Thatās my fear too, that they hand it to one of the coaching staff. In my opinion they would ideally be emptied too and we start again with the new mans own team. The players donāt look well coached.

Prob the reason grant got the gig, saved cash, he didnāt bring any back room staff so no need to payoff shields etc.
Hopefully the new manager gets to bring his own staff in, the club need a proper fresh start.

Fans are fickle, majority were against Grant from the get go and then an 8 minute interview with him and statements like winning the league was enough to get folk on side, thatās all it took.
Probably more miffed they fell for it.
I canāt see how Grant gets the Morton game. Regardless of the result, the damage is done, weāre better off cutting our losses now and bringing someone else in. If we donāt beat Morton at home we are in serious bother.
