Will the board allow Grant another attempt at getting a win?
If Grant isn’t gone should there be a protest?

Even if Grant wins it what does that prove? Suddenly we are all good? It would just delay the inevitable. One third of the season is already wasted. Get him out and give the team a boost before our biggest game of the season I say.

There won't be enough fans there to protest to be honest

If nothing changes, then it could well be our lowest actual league attendance for a long time ?

No way on earth he should be allowed to take this match, get beat and we’ll be cut adrift. Far too big a game to let him take charge. If he’s not sacked by Tuesday then I’ll be worrying about where this club is heading

On the flip side, if we win the game it could be a turning point for the team and we might go on a decent run. Stranger things have happened!

Peter Grant has been given more time to turn things around here than he'd have been given by many other clubs. There have been games where the team has put in a decent performance and might even have won with a bit of luck, but we can ill afford to give him another game and then another, in the hope he can finally register a win.
He might not even be the problem. I remember after AJ was sacked and Stevie Crawford took over. He told us at a supporters meeting that he'd never experienced a dressing room in which so many players had a really poor attitude, so perhaps it's no wonder that he struggled in the beginning and AJ struggled towards the end of his time at EEP.
If a workman is only as good as his tools, perhaps a manager is only as good as his players?

The same players that got us to 4th last season? Or the utter dross grant signed in the summer and most of them can’t even get a game

The new guy has to be in the door before the Morton game, on paper we won’t have an easier game.
There’s prob 6 of the team that started yesterday who under a different manager will revert back to being championship level footballers again, the rest I think might struggle at this level regardless. We are not at the bottom for nothing.
Grant spell in charge is over, it’s been over for weeks, let’s just confirm it now.

I too have a similar worry GG, that’s not a defence of Grant however, it’s an additional factor as to why he has to go. If indeed there are problems in that area then it damns the management of the club further.
I think our squad needs significant work to survive this season, it’s THAT bad. Said before what makes people think our squad is good enough and didn’t really get a sense of much of an answer. Are they underperforming? Potentially. But I don’t get the sense that there’s lots of potential to unlock from a lot of these players.

Too right riva. A workman is only as good as his tools.
Grant this season was like a new joiner putting in a kitchen and he spent all his tool budget on 10 hammers.

I think you've answered your own question, 97.
I'd exclude Connolly from any criticism but he only came in after the Watson affair and held the defence together reasonably well. You saw what happened yesterday when he missed the game because of injury.

As the expression goes, Naw he disnae.
Take the time to try to get the right man rather than rush into another mistake. I think this team will get a big enough rush at him being gone to do a better job on Saturday.

The game against Morton must be played as a cup final, everyone, players, coaches and fans must give 110%

I’d doubt our new manager will be in for Saturday. I’ll be there cheering the team on in any case. I don’t want shields to get the job permanently but I hope he performs well in the caretaker roll. I really hope we can beat Morton and get off the bottom. Would be a great feel good factor after the misery of Peter grants tenure.
Come on ye pars!
