Well thank goodness that sad episode in the clubs history has ended
It’s time now to get behind whoever is the new man or whoever is in interim charge. The Morton game is huge now and a great support behind the team would go along way to mend the disconnect that has been evident recently
Let’s see folk turning up on Saturday and giving the team fantastic backing

I think as long as the club don't give it to someone else on the hack of a wee chat to someone who didn't apply and see's the whole process beneath them, there will be far more support for the fella..

the time bit and no quick fix,this 10000000000000000% but will it happen?
a rebuild in January is easier said than done, always the tougher of the two windows to get the quality needed and will need to get rid of players first as well.

It is such a relief to wake up to this news this morning. For the past couple of months, I seem to have had a knot in my stomach that has twisted whenever the name Peter Grant came on the radar.
I wish him well now and hope that he finds a new role in life soon.
Whoever the new guy is, he should be given plenty of time to sort out the mess that has been left. The short term focus is to avoid relegation. The longer-term aim should be promotion next season. As we all know, this is no easy task.
As the thread title says, right now is time for us all to come together as Pars fans to help our team achieve those goals.

Does remind me of (although on a far smaller scale) the various factions that existed when the club went into administration, everyone had different viewpoints but ultimately wanted to help the club
It wasn’t until everyone came together under the Pars United banner that we were able to concentrate minds and focus on what really mattered
We all have, and are entitled to, our own opinions and viewpoints, the important thing is now to leave all of the mudslinging and ill feeling behind and focus on doing our bit to support the New Owners, the BOD, the new manager and the team on the pitch, we have a battle to win to stay in this Championship

I really should respond to a post earlier by Sergio but in the spirit of this thread I won't. Also one by Berkey, another of my all time favourite posters on .net. FWIW I've had a fair few bans myself but all for swearing, so my posts can't be that bad.

I really hope that is what happens (he gets the time needed) as there is no quick fix. I worry though that a number of unnamed posters will jump too soon to get the knife out again. I was expecting a civil thread here. As I said on another thread yesterday, we need to back whoever is in charge and get behind the team. The board made a mistake with Grant, but that’s over now and it’s time for us all to get behind the board, coaching staff and players on the park to salvage our season. Playoffs are certainly a long shot now, but we can still try and finish as high as possible and built momentum for next season.
Can we stop with this stupid bickering? No need for the comments about knowing certain posters will moan about the first sign of trouble, or planning to tell other fans to fk off. No point in getting caught up in the past and still being upset about Grant being in charge. Let’s just let bygones be bygones look to the future and try and just try to be positive and back the club. There’s absolutely no need to start fighting amongst ourselves right now, or making these little comments/digs about other fans/posters. That doesn’t benefit anyone.
Grant has gone. It’s time for all of us to move on and look forward, regardless of any of our opinions on him as a manager, or his appointment. We have to trust that the board have learned from this and will do their best to rectify the situation we’re in. Huge game on Saturday, let’s get behind Shields, Whittaker and the team, rather than fighting amongst ourselves on here.
