What an anti-climax! It doesn`t tell us anything we didn`t know already apart from the writer backing us to win the League.

The only thing I learned from reading that is that Kenny Miller and Jimmy Calderwood had a son together and they called him Scott. I would have thought that a relationship like that would have made the headlines.

The more I read about our current situation, the more I become utterly convinced that the new manager has to be someone with a track record and definite working knowledge of the Scottish game. Names like Kenny Miller and Mark Fotheringham are, in my view, just silly distractions. They would garner no uniform backing and no lasting measure of goodwill from our fans - and for this appointment that is vital.
I think the two names mooted here would be a very good fit: John Robertson would be my personal preference, but Stewart Petrie would be hugely popular also - not solely because of his black and white roots, but also because of his achievements with Montrose. Persuade either of these two to come and it would be a safe move. A safe pair of hands usually masks an implied tedium, but maybe consistency and reliability are what we need right now, as a prelude to progress.

Don't get the comments about nothing new in that article.
That article isn't meant to inform Dunfermline fans it is meant to inform the readers of that newspaper.
It's a pretty good summation of where we are.

I doubt there are many non-Pars` fans who would be sufficiently interested to read it.

Exactly this. There are some ignorant people on this forum.

Did Grant really say he didn’t hand in a CV as it’d blow everyone out the water? Seriously? Surely he didn’t say those actual words?

Seems a bit of a pointless article in my opinion.

The journalist is right in one aspect - we need to get the goalkeeping position sorted.

Mr Sked is a goalkeeper himself so no surprised he picked up on that.

Not quite getting the rage over the article. It’s for readers of the newspaper rather than Dunfermline fans I would have thought.

I`ve not noticed any "rage" on this thread whatsoever.

Yes. A bit surprised/amused at some of the reactions. I thought it was quite interesting which is why I posted it. Naturally, I was aware that those `in the know` would already know everything and wouldn`t waste their time reading it! Obviously I got that wrong and it seems I have wasted a few peoples` valuable time!

You weren't to know that some people don't know how sports or news reporting actually works. 😉

I`m not `in the know` so I tread it hoping it would tell me something I didn`t know - but it didn`t! Like a lot of `journalism` it`s just a regurgitation of stuff that`s already available on social media.
