It says we were fined for jeering Israel national anthem & 'inappropriate flag'
I actually agree with the finger for booing anthem (pathetic) but curious what the flag was?

The booing was really clear. Being fingered as punishment seems disproportionate though

Blame auto correct for that one! 😂
Boos were really clear, pretty sure it was discussed in this forum at the time.
Would challenge the decision if it was just a Palestinian flag - I know it's likely only being brought as it was Israel, but you can't call a nations flag inappropriate and fine us for someone carrying it

Some folk would volunteer to take that punishment on behalf of the team 😉
I definitely commented on it as I thought it was really embarrassing. You can be opposed to Israeli policies and be respectful at Football for an anthem when they're a guest in your country.
It's sort of looks like the waving of a flag has been the other charge and if it was due to a Palestinian flag being there then you would have to say its ott.

How can a football club or a national team be held accountable for someone taking a flag into a stadium?
It has been an offence since 1672 to fly the Lion Rampant in Scotland without the Monarchs permission……………
Booing an anthem was all the rage not so long ago. Not so much as a mark of disrespect but as a way of unsettling the opposition.
It should not been done though in a sporting arena.
Plenty time for booing the opposition when the game starts.
The ways things are going though it would not surprise me if fines get dished out for doing just that in the not too distant future…

The booing didn't last long, still not good, but at the end it got a hearty round of applause.

Should be proud to take a fine for reminding Israelis about the people they keep locked behind a fence.

But that means we've been fined as a result of nation state politics...
Which is ludicrous when you consider what's more political than two nation states playing against each other, under their respective flags and anthems

The irony that Scotland get fined for this yet fans of other clubs can sing racist, homophobic and bigoted songs every week and no-one blinks and eyelid!
