The Hammers fans must be thinking the league table is upside down
David Moyes doing a fantastic job .. top bloke and top manager

Not many have said this but he did inherit a bit of a mess at Man U

Maybe Man U should have persevered a bit longer

Maybe if they'd been as patient with Moyes as they've been with Ole, he might have been another Fergie?

Perhaps his biggest mistake was to clear out the coaching staff and bring in his own team.

Would think that he’s probably achieved as much as he’s going to where he is …….. and he can’t exactly be on his uppers. Maybe he’d like a less-demanding role, helping to save a basket-case club that may not be unfamiliar to him located in a pleasant part of Scotland?
Just saying. You can always ask.

Moyes was always on a hiding to nothing at United, filling the boots no one wanted to fill! If he had retained too much of Fergie`s backroom staff, he would have been criticised for not asserting enough of his own identity on the role. He was badly let down by the club, given there was a clear rebuild required and they failed to do any significant business in the transfer market to support him. The moment they sacked him they lost all credibility in my eyes and proved to me that the `club DNA` ethos was simply be empty rhetoric, spouted when things are going well. The fact that his win record materially stands up against Van Gaal and Ole`s, given the respective signings they were enabled to make, proves he wasn`t the flop he was made out to be; the club just wanted Mourinho-esque instant success so that they could flaunt that they had managed one of the most anticipated managerial transitions of our (if not of all) time. The irony is that when United finally snared Mourhino, they eventually realised that the quick `results` he provides are not sustainable, even the medium term. I am fairly certain that if United had backed Moyes, they would have been in a far better position than they are now.

Totally agree with that. If Moyes was backed and given a few seasons I think they would have been in a far better place than they are now. Liverpool ran rings around them and they couldn't get near City. 2 teams that West Ham has victories over this season.

Definitely a top manager, but when he played for us, he was absolutely honking. Terrible centre half. Bambi on very thin ice, every game.

Was he not top scorer for us in an absymal season in the premier ? Sure he finished with 5 goals. Probably all headers from corners. Lol.
