Former Par, Jim Kerray died on 6th November aged 85. Jim signed for The Pars from Raith Rovers. He played in England for Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United before returning to East End Park under Jock Stein. He moved on to St Johnstone and Stirling Albion before finishing at Falkirk. A real character, popular with all who played alongside him. Condolences to his family.

Sad to hear this. Jim was one of the first Pars players I recall when I started following them in 63/64. He was quite an aggressive player and always appeared ready to give as good as he got when he came up against "rugged" defenders - and there were plenty of them about then.

I'm sure sammer will be able to add a bit more detail but he was definitely one of those players that you'd much prefer as a team mate than an opponent.

R.I.P. Jim.

Not your average Sunday League player.

I remember Jim Kerray from his second spell at EEP when he finished our top scorer in season 1963-64. Despite that he was moved on to be replaced by Alex Ferguson. Jim was a solidly built attacker who still sported something of a Teddy Boy quiff and could put himself about. He was managed by Jock Stein and had earlier played alongside Jim Baxter at Raith Rovers so he knew his way around a football pitch.

Fondly remembered by Pars fans from that era.

More sad news - Jim Kerray was a more than decent player.

Always sad to hear of the passing of a former player, especially so from the great era of the 60`s
