Could Pars TV live stream this event? And perhaps allow far-off fans to ask a question or two?

Would they want to after the state of the falkirk one?

Grant, they usually last around a couple of hours.

Oz, I`m fairly sure ParsTV won`t be filming the meeting - it`s been asked on here before now and I think it`s a privacy issue. Sometimes, I`ve been asked to not share information through the live update session - even though it still could be with supporters being in attendance.

Perhaps Brian / Jordan could clarify the situation re filming. Apologies if I`m incorrect.

I`ll be starting a thread for questions - one only please from each poster - on this forum. and EEB. too - on the night in question, probably an hour before. I`ll try to ask and give you your answers as soon as possible. Apologies in advance if I`m unable to do so.

"Should have used Carnegie Hall"

precedent set with previous events and couple of dozen in attendance. Think last "big" one was Stephen Kenny when he gave a braveheart esq speech at the end.

"I can`t go but after watching the Falkirk one I`m glad it`s not being broadcast."

That`s a fair one.

Hopefully those who might be tempted to berate the chairman and board for recent "errors of judgement" will realise there`s no mileage turning the occasion into a greetin` meeting.

Totally agree with VE’s comment above. Nobody makes bad decisions on purpose and the management situation has now been resolved. I personally am sorry that Ross is giving up his position, but fully understand why he is doing that, after some of the treatment he has received. Let’s look to the future at this meeting. There is nothing to be gained by further criticism of the board.

I'd imagine there'll be questions about the Grant debacle and rightly so. It's not a cheerleading session AFAIK, I thought it was an opportunity for fans to ask questions with regards to the running of the club? We were winless in the league after 13 games, it's hardly surprising that fans will be interested in just how that came to happen.

Edited to add - Providing the questions themselves are respectful in nature I'm sure the board will answer in kind. Promises to be a good evening hopefully.

Is Ross giving up his position?

I knew there was talk of him doing so, but I was hoping he had reconsidered fingers 🤞

I don,t think asking the question relating to the Grant debacle is necessarily criticism, fans maybe want an understanding as to the process which gave him the job

It all depends on how any question is couched. You might say something like "What lessons have been learned from the appointment of Peter Grant?" rather than "What the hell were you thinking about, when you gave the job to Grant?"

Absolutely GG.

The wording of that first question is what I was meaning, that is fine IMO and a fair question, what have we learned from it? How did that influence the process with regards to appointing Hughes? Do we take those lessons forward and use them in other positions within the club?

The question has been asked many times, and answered more than adequately several times. Lessons have obviously been learned.
Asking the same question again is not going to get a different answer, nor will it benifit anyone in any way.

Really, where?

You'd think if that question had been asked, and answered several times then I wouldn't hear so many pars fans having it down as one of the questions they want answered.

You'd also think that Allan Temple, who's normally got his finger right on the pulse with regards to the Pars wouldn't have it down as one of the six top questions for the evening.

Why Peter Grant was hired, and why he was then persisted with is an utterly fair question, it might be a difficult one for the board to answer because it's undoubtedly a mistake, but again, this isn't a cheerleading session. I'll certainly be listening with interest as to what was so impressive about Peter Grant that we headhunted him in such a manner, and then why we persisted with him after QoTS away.

The six questions posed by Alan Temple are good ones IMO.

I reckon he was hired because they thought he'd do us a turn

I reckon they persisted with him because he could turn it around.

We've now got a new manager with new ideas who looks like he's got the players going again and we've won 2 games.

PG is gone. You really need to deal with it and move on

Why do I need to deal with it and move on, what about Alan Temple?

I reckon the question will be more along the lines of "Why did you think Peter Grant would do us a turn"

Followed by "What makes you think that PG was going to turn it around?"

Are both of those that outrageous a question?

I’m interested in lessons learned from the Peter Grant fiasco. But I wouldn’t expect much more to be put out in the public domain than already has been. They made a mistake, but clearly learned from it and, in my opinion, appointed the best man for the job this time around.

Personally, I’m more interested in the progress regarding a training ground and a youth academy. Also a bit curious regarding the signing policy - we seemed to drift away from signing younger players and giving them a chance/helping them improve, to make a profit on them. In September, we even sanctioned the loan of a 29 year old, so that Grant didn’t have to play any of the younger defenders he signed.

I won't be there this evening, but I hope (and expect) it will be a constructive and informative session, and that most people will get what they want from it. If so, it could be a springboard for a whole new era for the club.

Absolutely no shocked that once again, you seem incapable of reading posts, and instead have just went in two footed on a poster, how surprising.

At no point have I said I'm asking the question, just that if someone does, and they word it properly, then it's a fair question.

Just to reaffirm (hopefully you're still reading the post) I won't be losing sleep over it in any case. If some fans deem it important enough though and they ask the question I hope that they're given a fair response.

Why are some people so determined to focus on what has passed rather than where we are going?

We now have a new man in place. The appointment of the last one has led, one way or another, to the chairman leaving at the end of the season. Why can't people just leave it at that? What kind of answer will satisfy them?

Alan Temple is a journalist I believe. He's probably had plenty opportunity to ask these questions, without getting you the explanation you want so you can move on, certainly not publishing it anyway. Asking that kind of question won't get you very far in my opinion.

Hardly went in two footed Grant, just don't see the point in going down that road, that's all.
