Dom Thomas spent a lot of the game playing fairly centrally and doing it well.
The previous manager was criticised for playing him there

To be fair, the game is much easier when you are two and three up. Most of the Pars players had lots of time on the ball and were making passes for fun.
That’s not to say he didn’t play well. Just adding some context

Why can’t some folk no just be happy when we win instead of looking for negatives? Who cares about Peter grant now, yogi 100% record shows how useless grant really was

He didn't just start playing well when we were 2 or 3 up, he played well from the start. The formation of 4 1 4 1 meant he played in front of the back four instead of the centre mid role he played under grant, which was far more comfortable for him.

Said this to my son walking home. That Formation suits him as he doesn’t have the legs in a 4-4-2 now IMO. Good performance though

Outstanding performance from Dorrans……..He doesn’t need a lot of pace as he knows the right place to be, an absolute masterclass. The ball he pulled down in the SH that came over his shoulder was world class.

Looked to me that out of possession he was on the left, but when we got the ball he was allowed to go where he wanted.... Worked well, allowing Edwards to get high and wide ahead of him.

Dorrans looked so composed and controlled the game sitting in front of the back four, hardly crossed the halfway line and was imperious
DomTom was unplayable today, his marker must have been dizzy by the time
The game finished

Correct. He can’t get about the pitch as much and probably lost a yard of pace but the game intelligence and composure doesn’t leave you

Getting the ball in the net a couple of times takes all the pressure off and enables the whole team to express themselves and that`s what happened today. The goals were just not coming earlier so we were always under pressure. We got a huge break today because the corner we scored our first goal from was not a corner. It should have been a goal kick.

True about the corner but how many goals have the Pars lost over the years due to the officials’ incompetency?

Just wondering, Paralex, whether you still believe in Father Christmas? Because I have it on very good authority that he does definitely exist and I won’t have you saying anything else! 😉

He defo does and he will be in Carnock next Sunday. His breath may smell a bit cuttlefishy.

Perhaps this quotation is relevant here:-
"There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy Oh Horatio" (Hamlet, Prince of Denmark)
But I wouldn`t include Father Christmas in that.

Big difference Raymie between playing on the left and drifting in to where there are already 2 teammates than starting in the middle as one of a central two, no?

Dorrans defo MOTM for me. Played well, controlled the midfield and this allowed the more attacking midfielders to push on. Long may it continue.

I think he has the talent if we were playing in a system like the one we saw yesterday or if we played 2 defensive midfielders and let him have a free role in the middle. But in a midfield two where the other, not for me. Especially when we don`t have a discount N`golo Kante to play as the second man.
