Out of his depth, will be gone in the next few days.

Biggest team in the world need a world class manager and Ole isn’t it, done well to last has long as he has.

They can’t sack him until the stock market is open, they need to report it there first.

It`s ben announced unofficially. Ole is no longer at the wheel. He took a poor team and made it better for a while: but not good enough. The signing of Ronaldo was his death knell. Ronaldo and Pogba will be the first out of the door under a strong manager.

Just watching the highlights from yesterday.

I know everyone makes mistakes / rush of blood moments but in from a top level footballer WTF was Fernandes doing at the first goal? Would expect that in a Boys' Brigade game with nine year olds.

I cant quite get my head round this, Surely Carrick could be interim until such times that the right manager is available or Carrick is a resounding success

Manchester United are close to appointing Ralf Rangnick as interim manager on a six-month contract.

The 63-year-old German is poised to join United but will not be in charge this weekend against Chelsea while he waits for his work permit.

It comes after United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday after a trophyless three-year spell as boss.

Rangnick won the German Cup with Schalke in 2011 and took RB Leipzig to the final in 2019.

It sounds to me like Carrick will follow Ole out as soon as Rangnick comes in. MU are implying he's not even considered good enough to be an interim manager. Poor show.

Seems he has been offered an extra 2 years as a consultant once the Interim job has finished.

United should have stuck by Moyes and given him time out to rebuild the infrastructure.
The club wanted success too early but that was never going to happen after Fergie.
Right manager at the wrong time perhaps but in hindsight, he was the best choice for them.

Might still be....
