Wondered that myself, people walking down the middle of Halbeath Road even tho the road was still open and cars/buses were coming along both ways. Kids, old dudes, as well. A mistake has been made here by someone as us punters expect the road to be shut off.

We live in a society where bags of nuts require a warning that they contain nuts...

Did the Cops forget it was match day, or was this a decision at senior level? The club need to seek an urgent explanation if it is a change in policy.
To be fair to motorists, apart from an impatient few they were taking care, but a dark afternoon, crowd of folk in dark clothing negotiating narrow pavements and a roundabout, crossing the road, kidsā¦accident waiting to happen

Police numbers are at a historic low in Fife. May explain it. They're talking about reducing hours at Dunfermline Police Station. Need to remember all of this for the next election.

It's the inconsistency that creates the danger. People were on the road thinking it was closed when it wasn't.

I think it was about 1979 when I was leaving the ground and a car hit a guy, knocking him in the air and he completely flipped and landed on his head. He got up and dusted himself down and comforted the lass that hit him. She didnt give a sht about him. She kept whining, "I was only doing 30 thats the speed limit".
Aye, on a clear road, not when 3k folk are walking down it.
I was working with her that night in "The Well". She still didnt think she had done anything wrong. No remorse at all. Canny believe the guy wasnt badly hurt.

Did think it was strange, the road has always been blocked off for home game, it should have been announced it it was going to remain open, an accident waiting to happen.
Maybe someone could seek clarification at the up coming meeting.
