That`s an absolute shocker of a decision by the referee, no excuses for the performance but that`s cost us a point. The ball isn`t even travelling fast when it hits Dorrans

Looked at the penalty decision many times ! That referee should definitely go to specsavers never a penalty , we already had a mountain to climb the way we were playing with 11 men but even worse to lose a man for a Ludicrous refereeing decision for 30 minutes of the game, he definitely lost us a valuable point or more , we will never know , I hope we appeal the decision of the red card

Was thinking we could appeal but what official footage is there of the game to use to contest?

Hamilton’s footage - (or ParsTV). that’s where our highlights have come from.
All SPFL clubs are given copies of the match footage to produce highlights / film the games themselves.

All SPFL away clubs are given copies of the match footage to produce highlights.
No it isn’t where it came from. That was from Davie Honeyman post match that clip.

Berkey asked about the game footage - not that clip.
Parstv were in attendance filming the entire match.
PS It’s not Davie Honeyman behind the camera.

Never a pen. Shocking decision.
I recall an absolute howler of a penalty given against us there in the Scottish Cup fairly recently too... was it 2016?

That was the last time I was at a game there. It was a calum Morris foul outside the box.
Cup replay I think.

Craig Thomson was the ref. It went to penalties and we missed the first three I think to hand it on a plate to Accies.

Never a penalty and if Dorrans got sent off for that it`s an absolute scandal. He was making every effort to keep his arm away from the ball.

Aye that’s right! Was that no the period when we missed our last 10 penalties or so? It’s certainly never easy being a Pars fan

You could be right, plainview. Was that the same season we missed three in one game against Dundee United?

No ifs about it, he was sent off for stopping a clear goalscoring opportunity. What makes it worse is its not even considered handball above the t-shirt line. So even if it did hit the top of his arm it is still clearly not a handball.

Didn`t watch the game, so can`t comment on the performance.
But that penalty decision is an absolute howler. Can only assume the angle deceived the ref. Not sure if it`s shoulder or chest, but it`s definitely hit his strip and given his wearing short sleeves, I don`t think that means it can possibly be a handball.
Awful decision.

I think it was given going by the Hamilton players reaction. A complete guess by the ref imo

I think we should appeal - but I don`t think we`ll be successful.
I recall in the English Premiership David Luiz got redded and a pen given when someone`s stud clipped his knee, and on the same day a Southampton player (Vestergaard?) was redded for a similar non-foul vs Man Utd. The difference being the Luiz call changed the outcome of the game (arsenal were up and went on to lose, whereas Man Utd were already cuffing Southampton at the time). The Southampton red was overturned, Arsenal`s wasn`t, which to me, hinted a real reluctance to overturn `game changing` decisions.
This was a game changer, and if the SPFL have the same reluctance to overturning game changing decisions any appeal will fail.

"Can only assume the angle deceived the ref"
i thought it might have been the assistant that gave it but going by Hughes comments it was definitely the referee. sadly Hamilton dont put out highlights which from the live stream showed it far clearer but also shows the referee having to bend his body to try and get a view of what was going on, he is just out of shot in our version.
