Absolutely mental decision a week before a cup final, if it is a sacking.

I’m really struggling to see where Ross will get a job now. His stock must be pretty low and I can’t see him taking a championship job. Who else would want him in Scotland?

I like Jim Goodwin at St. Mirren. If/when Goodwin gets a move, then Ross might get back in at Saints, assuming he didn`t burn his bridges?

Baffling a week before a cup final. He’s a good manager. I think league results would of turned for them.

I take it you`re referring to John Potter? He`s more a coach than an assistant manager, imo - and an excellent coach at that.
I`ve often wondered what the point of having an assistant manager is, if he isn`t heavily involved in coaching the squad. Many clubs now have all three.

I don`t think Potter would come back here, not after the abuse he took while in charge, recent happenings to Ross McArthur only shows him that some @rseh0les still follow our club

Potter was useless as a manager.
His coaching is his pedigree.

If he`s unemployed and was offered a coaching job on his own doorstep, he`d be a mug to turn it down. His family might have something to say about it, too. I know for a fact that Potter enjoyed his time at the Pars, other than his short stint as manager and was highly regarded by everyone connected with the club, which is why he stayed on when AJ was brought in.
The opportunity to team up with Jack Ross at Sunderland was too good to pass up, not least because of the huge salary increase compared to what the Pars were able to pay him. There isn`t a vacancy at EEP at the moment. The most likely scenario is that he will team up with Ross again at another club in the not too distant future.
