I was listening to a repeat of one of these podcasts about football management on Radio Scotland this afternoon. There were some superb stories from Harry Redknapp and Dick Campbell. Dick said Bert Paton was the best manager he`d seen at analysing a game in the dressing-room at half-time and getting his points over to the players.
He said that when Fergie was a player at EEP he and a few others used to come over together from the west by car and spend the afternoon in the bookies at Kincardine. Their wives seemed to think they trained all day. One of them, Dan McLindon, used to bring a greyhound with him and get someone to walk it round the pitch whilst the players were training! All hearsay of course as it would be well before Dick`s time there.

It’s a great show with some fantastic guests and stories. Leveins humour really shines out as well.

It`s a great programme, all the guests have been hilarious, Levein and Amy Irons are a good contrast.
