Good. Hopefully rearranged for Scottish Cup Saturday which both teams have free. I`m sure we`ll be suggesting this straight away and it would be difficult for SPFL board to refuse.

A bit surprising as the rain hasn`t been too bad where I am, but given we didn`t want to be playing this week I quite seriously hope we made no effort at all to make the pitch playable.

Was speaking to a club official earlier this morning in the Kingsgate (Dunfermline) and he was saying they were in constant touch with the grounds men who were working on the pitch.
The rain was torrential here during the night/ this morning and running in a streams down the streets.

Good news weather has been terrible. Now gives the BoD time to reconsider letting fans in for the Hamilton game

Can’t say I’m disappointed with that decision, hopefully any January arrivals can be included in the rearranged fixture & we have a fit Dom Thomas by then

I know that was tongue in cheek, CrossPar, but they certainly didn`t need the sprinklers on, judging by how swollen the Lyn burn was this afternoon. The rain this morning was something else.

Can`t imagine any Pars fan will be upset at this. 🙂

No great surprise - the rain was torrential this morning in the town (it didn`t get light until about half 10) & it was still really heavy at lunchtime (around half 12)

Typically it's off now!!

COME ON YE PARS!

Can we not cancel all the games left this season? Might save a lot of angst and deep depression down the Halbeath Road area!! And having to read how bad we are on this forum (as if we didn`t know). Right, time for the happy pill.

At present I`m watching a WW2 documentary. It is about the German armies use of Pervitin. This was an early version of crystal meth. This gave them strength and endurance that our soldiers didn`t have. The Germans felt happy perhaps us DA fans should try to get pills of Pervitin.

If you want to understand WW2 then you need a language beyond English. Face to face the Nazis could not fight. They were not rubbish, but they were like the Mafia: more feared by reputation than in what they actually accomplished. They met their end in Stalingrad. After the war they all clamed to be Wehrmacht rather than Nazis.

I don’t think Sammer’s opinion of the German military would be shared by the veterans who fought against them.

I suppose Sammer and EEAP that some lessons can be learned from history regarding coping with nasty experiences and the reverting to pharmaceutical means, lauded by many, to the present day, can cause serious, longlasting physical and psychological damage but maybe not as bad as getting a grenade up your Jaxie. And without seeming to be superficial, in light of more grave matters, being in pursuit of some potent draught or elixir that may lessen the hardship of seeing our beloved team descend to ever increasing levels of incompetence and mediocrity, makes the quest for such, more appealing than ever before, in the history Dunfermline Athletic.

After those age old remedies of kicking the cat (a practice rightly frowned upon by animal lovers) and throwing the TV (or laptop) out of the window (a remedy frowned upon by the wife who was wanting to watch Eastenders, and once employed by a friend after a Scotland defeat to England) I have decided that no artificial remedy known to man or woman, will ever be effective so I`ve decided that writing rubbish on the Pars forum is as good a comfort as any.

The board have made the decision as it wouldn’t be fair on the other 2000 season ticket holder’s. Maybe they should sell out to hospitality that would bring much needed cash in, and yes I am and have been a season ticket holder along with family for many years

Everyone would have the same chance so not unfair on any season ticket holders and i would have wished good luck to any one who was sucessfully in getting in. It would have been much better if some fans got the chance instead of none.
