I’m starting to think he will be out the door before the month is out, for whatever reason, either Hughes doesn’t fancy him or he doesn’t want to be here. He’s miles better than Breen and I don’t buy the “left footed centre back explanation” for a minute.

Hughes stated he didn`t want to play him because he is a right footer playing on the left and teams were setting traps on us and exposing him on his weaker foot.
Obviously rates Connolly higher to play him in the chosen right centre back position.
C'mon Ye Pars!

I see him in the gym quite a bit so he’s still alive!

Feels like yet another another example of an experienced pro being forced out of the club while we languish at the bottom playing young squad players in key positions.
If it works and he gets better in then fine but if it doesn’t we’ll tamely drop down a division.
Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

He’s far better than breen. Just like wighton and Ohara are far better than McCann.

I can see gaspuitas leaving in January, it’s obvious Hughes doesn’t fancy him,

He isn`t great but he is probably the best we have to partner Connolly. I found it a bit strange that Hughes would go public on his weaknesses to justify why he wasn`t playing him, pretty much tells the opposition what they need to do when he is playing

O Hara has 4 league goals in 18 appearances
McCann has 3 league goals in 7 appearances
Yogi likes to play 1 up front currently and I`m sure McCann is better at holding it up and flick ons than the other two.

Can’t see him back in a Pars shirt for what ever reason, if him, Connolly and Graham go this month then we have a serious problem with no recognised centre backs.

His occasional absences on international duty probably don`t help his chances of holding down a place.

I`ve always thought it was cause he is a no nonsense type defender and Yogi has always preferred players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet?

I know the manager was looking to bring in another centre half. If Gasputis was to leave, you’d imagine he would need another two ?

or you hope Martin can stay fit and becomes your 4th option behind Connolly assuming he is kept on, Breen and a new signing in that area. would be a risk but you do have February to do loans as well if need be.

Gaspuitis is better than Breen or Graham. No argument.
That is not saying much and maybe Hughes, for good reasons, does not think Gaspuitis is a defender that can take the Pars forward. Fair enough.
But his explanation for not playing Gaspuitis is drivel. It insults the Pars support. Just tell us the truth Yogi, who by the way was a one footed effective defender in his day. Just tell it how it is.

I’d be sorry to see Gaspuitis go. Certainly he’s a no-nonsense defender but you did feel that he provided the team with some backbone, even if there wasn’t a lot of style - bit of a Doug Rougvie I’d say.
But I remember reading not long after he came to us that he was having trouble settling in and I suspect that’s the reason for his potential departure rather than some fallout with JH.

It would have been hard for him to settle here in normal times but given the restrictions that have continued he will be struggling.

Been an unlucky time for the guy, looked to me like he was forming a good partnership with Connelly
The pandemic has obviously made it difficult to settle and changes of manager has not helped him
Thought he could have made a decent player and become a bit of a cult hero, sometimes things just don’t work out, good luck Vitas

I thought the guy was decent and suspect we never saw the best of him as he was never in a settled partnership. Whatever though, he’s history.

He is a solid no-nonsense defender and I`m not sure we got the chance to see the best of him. It was a rotten time for the lad to have to prove his worth at a time of turmoil in the club while putting up with lockdown rules in a foreign land.
I wish him all the best for the future.

Poor guy didn`t get a proper chance, no wonder he couldn`t settle. He`s better off being away from this farce of a club.
Good luck big man.

If he couldn’t settle with life in Fife then letting him go was the correct decision, if he wasn’t happy about getting game time then that’s different.
Should have been a starter every game, certainly better than what we have.
Lose Connolly which looks likely we only have 3 central defenders and one of them is battling back from long term injury.
Squad is very poor technically overall but is down to the bare bones in defence and midfield.
The only area where we have an abundance of players in in the striker roles but we only play 1 up front.
