Alan Temple from the Courier just confirmed it. Said it could be a busy Monday for us! Music to our ears.

Why are his religious leanings relevant ?

Hopefully he is left footed so can play left centre half,
As yogi doesn’t like right footers playing there lol 😀

If Connolly is staying this could be a solid centre back pairing. Could be a very good signing. I hope a centre midfielder or two comes in before Saturday.

he isnt left footed.
26 year old with a fair amount of experience, out of contract in the summer too so if he does well he might end up here longer.
good luck to him.

I read somewhere today that Connolly`s current loan deal doesn`t expire until 16 January.

It’s a drop down in terms of quality. . He should do well enough.
A centre half was always Yogi’s priority
It's bloody tough being a legend

I`ve never seen the lad play but 37 games in the premiership with a good chunk of these under Hughes. He will walk into our 11 on that experience alone.

I`m always surprised at how well some Pars` fans can scout other teams` players. Do they just watch the highlights on TV?

Agree Kessel, except Connolly who I think is decent. I think Vytas is not bad as well but for one reason or another he isn’t in the plans (and I don’t think it’s because he is right footed). The rest are awful. I hope it’s a long time before someone as bad as Breen or Graham start for us at centre back again.

I’d say we needed Donaldson in as Graham is away, Connolly could be away too, jones has only played one game and never been seen since until yesterdays game. So we’d only have breen left, and tbh it was an area badly needing strengthened. Saying that, the whole team is needing strengthening 😂
Also appears gasputis will probably be away too since he’s never in the squad anymore

Interesting article from 2020 about how he feels he lost his way a bit, particularly over problems with the Dundee United fans which seemed to knock his confidence. Might be worth reading for anyone who thinks abusing one`s own players will make them play better ....

Absolutely nothing to do with his playing ability, but I did meet him a few years ago when in his own time he came along and took part in a Disabled Supporters meeting at Tannadice. He seemed a decent young man.
Hopefully he can put in some good performances for the Pars and realise his potential.

I’m really excited about this signing as I have money on us being relegated this season. Lithuanian boy away too so it’s looking good.

If Connolly stays that gives us a sound Centre Back pairing with plenty Premiership experience. Should help Comrie and Edwards and give us a solid foundation. A couple of decent, experienced Midfielders now and things will start to come together

And how if it`s us who`s signing them they`re pihs, but if it`s one of our rivals they`re world beaters.
