We’re on it and not having fun, based on a “profile” - whatever that was. Morton look outside the box and appoint an ex-player and respected coach in Imrie, Ayr appoint a fantastic Pars player in Bullen (who was apparently head-hunted) and very well respected coach. Two excellent results for them today, and an appalling one for us.
The appointment of Grant was a disaster (which anybody with a brain could have predicted), the appointment of Hughes appears to be just as bad. A 5-0 loss away to bottom of the league Morton is a sackable offence whether you’ve just been appointed or not. We can’t go into the next game with a midfield or Todd, Allan and Pybus, they wouldn’t be regular starters in the Lowland league.
We’re in serious trouble, we’re going down based on this. We need to spend big, or we’re in trouble of facing off against Kelty Hearts and Falkirk next season.

It’s a FACT Allan, Todd would not get into a league 1 team. as harsh as it is, even if they are pars lads, they are not good enough.

I watched the recent Killie v Morton game and Imrie just before half time changed his way of playing and Morton were Unlucky not to beat Killie
Never seen any of our managers do this of late
That game and result today to say the least is just ridiculous
I am sure JH will mention 12 men on the park and how good they do in training !
They need to do it in a real game , Both Ayr and Morton get the result they needed today what do we get ? same old crap

Not sure whats the point of yogi at the moment? Anyone could pick the same team regardless every week.
Yeah it feels like the plan is let’s go down but playing young pars fans And hopefully we’ll annoy the experienced players into leaving.
Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

I’m stunned he continues to keep three of our best players on the bench.

We are clearly out of our depth in this league so bring on Falkirk and Kelty next year!
Would like to experience a feeling of optimism again and it’s not going to happen in this league with these players or manager!

Who’s our best 3 players on the bench, it’s getting boring reading folk absolutely creaming themselves over O’Hara, Todorov and Wighton. If they were that damn good Grant would of played them more as would Hughes. I’ve seen enough of them to say none of them are any good. We have got players in our squad who are not fit to wear the black and white stripes and should all be binned, sadly that ain’t going to happen. Feck even the best managers/coaches out there would struggle to get that lot playing basic football 🤬🤬🤬

Im more puzzled at choosing a what can’t be fit Martin with the new Ross Graham at cb and playing 3 cms that are no where near Good enough. You could say he’s not at fault for the cm situation and that’s somewhat right but we don’t have to play that shape… and then you see dow play at the tip of that? And we wonder why we just got beat by Morton 5-0. Murder by Hughes, the board, the players and the coaching staff.

Interesting. I never said “our three best players”, I said “three of our best”. And the stats from last season suggest they can cope in this league.

I think the problem with the 3 strikers on the bench is that all 3 of them have proved with other clubs that they can score goals, but all 3 are penalty box strikers who need a supply. They ain`t going to get the ball 40 yards out, dribble past 2 defenders and slam it in from 20 yards. We have played without proper wingers or centre mids who can play a killer ball. So all 3, who have all had a chance in the team have been disappointing. If we had sorted the midfield, these guys would come into their own, and we wouldn`t have to resort to playing a young kid on his own up front.
If all the fans can see that , how can our qualified coaching team not?

Just for a bit of comparison.
We only lost 2 of Grants last 8 games in charge and only concede 9 goals in those 8 games (4 against Arbroath)
We have definitely regressed under Hughes and yes it`s primarily Grants squad, but arguably Grant seemed to be getting more out of it than Hughes.
Our 2 wins came from a team picked by Shields and Whittaker.
Our deficiencies were clear for all to see, and players should`ve been lined up and ready to go for Jan not scrambling about whilst now bottom of the league.
The flame still burns
