Just heard on RS that Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock have called on the SG to allow this weekend`s games to be restriction free rather than wait until Monday.
Killie's manager, Derek McInnes, was interviewed and made a very compelling case for ending the restrictions 48 hours earlier.

It will not be approved unless Killie can evidence the presence of Tory party members and that they confirm the alleged "match" is actually a business meeting being held in a garden.

McInnes said that the arrangement of moving from a ceiling of 500 fans to no restrictions is a huge change and suggests that it would make sense to remove restrictions for the lower league clubs this weekend, since they don`t attract large crowds.

Be good if our board can back this up….
Doubt it would make a difference but would at least look like they are making an effort with a disgruntled fanbase

Clubs should stick together and all clubs should just ignore guidance and allow fans in over weekend. What could happen if all clubs done the same. 500 at a game on Saturday and 60000 on Monday.
How are clubs even going to manage doing a 50 per cent check next week? When is the government providing QR code checkers?
Or is it another case of government looking like they are acting when in reality they ain’t on this.

I agree, and the checking vaccine passport is Sturgeon at her worse. Seems almost like toys out the pram for getting it wrong over banning football crowds. I guarantee not a single fan will be asked for proof. I was at Scotand v Denmark and no-one was checked, and they think holding up 50% wont cause peoblems.
Leaving it to stewards on minimum wage to prevent a bunch of boozed up rugger boys from piling in just shows how detached these people have become.

At the league cup final, there were stewards checking but the vast majority of fans just walked straight past them.

Scotland V Denmark were checking passports, I was a party of 4 and all of us had to show proof. I was also asked for proof when at Man City v West Ham. It must be an easy life if flashing your phone for 3 seconds is your biggest inconvenience.
I’m here to take over!!

Ignoring SG guidance is a great idea - that`ll get full support from the SFA and SPFL.
Meanwhile, back in the real world........................
