*New Mental Health Initiative* - `Keep Kicking On`
Topic Originator: yvb-par
Date:   Thu 20 Jan 09:41

I have been working closely with The Pars Foundation to bring a new mental health initiative - `Keep Kicking On`

This project will specifically target males 16-25, It will help improve their physical and mental health. It will give a safe space to kick a ball and speak about mental health where you will not be judged.

There will be a focus on suicide prevention to this as well, where people can feel comfortable and confident to talk about this emotive subject in a relaxed environment and tackle the the stigmas associated with mental health. Trained mental health first aiders will be in attendance, and safety nets will be in place.

We have listened to this particular age group of supporters who felt there was a gap for support they felt was needed, and we are delighted to launch this initiative.

It will begin - Monday 31st January, 6pm - 7pm at Queen Anne High School (indoor pitch) The cost is free. Register here -

Hi Eddie

I`ve found kick mental health work closely with livingston FC over the South side of the forth and offer a similar service. They may be able to offer some advice as they`ve been running for about 2 years.
