Strong enough team out, why is every weekend a windy storm?
It`s good Killie dont have Daniel MacKay on from start he is very quick

Cole had some nicely deliveries when he came on as a sub the other day.

Presume Pybus and Kamwa are injured or got Covid.

Surprised with the selection and can only think Pybus is injured or got Covid but at the end of the day I couldn`t care what team is picked as long as we get the 3 Points !!
Hopefully we will score first and get the Killie crowd against them

I hear the Kilmarnock fans giving a rendition of their signature song "Killie Boys." The tune is the same as the song often sung by the fans of another team who play in blue.

Are the lyrics also similar?

As mentioned has Cole suddenly stepped it up in training this last week for him to all of a sudden be ahead of Todd and Allan?

Feels like he should have got his chance much earlier, can’t be match fit.

Two weeks in a row we`ve blown it pretty quickly from a goal scoring position and it`s been two daft mistakes. Ambrose could be a good signing but is far to causal at the back. McCann just doesn`t give us enough up front either. His end product and decision making let him down. That`s Morton pulling away from us and Ayr picked up 3 points here and we`ve failed. It`s just not good enough.

Well Ambrose certainly cost us the first goal.

I thought Chalmers had a bad habit of finding his team mates with the ball?

Lost count of how many times he has given it away the last two games and it was his mistake that gave away possession causing Comrie to lunge in for a pretty avoidable second yellow.

Oh how we missed Pybus today. Cole and Chalmers are too similar…. and not necessarily the type of player you need for a relegation scrap..

I agree with you Moose
Have to blame Hughes though for his selection in second half
Killie were there for the taking ! but Hughes wasn`t brave enough to change the shape and bring forwards on and put Killie on the back foot
I really cannot get it why we have proven goal scorers sitting on their back sides every week and cannot get a start or a game ! Hughes must think they are really crap if McCann get`s a start before them
We need to take the game to teams not let them come at us ,
Be fair to say Ambrose was a big help in the defeat today also ,

I’m sticking this loss squarely at Yogis door. McCann is a good player but not a goal scorer so we are relying on midfielders to score. His reticence to make a substitution is baffling - the midfield was desperately crying for freshening up from about 70 mins - we had a matchwinner in Thomas on the bench so he brings on Todd. He did bring on Ohara but far too late to make a difference and with 3 subs still available leaves the tiring team as is.

It was the same last week we needed fresh legs in the 2nd and only brought on 1 player.

Both Killie and Ayr last week were there to be taken, we were the better team in both games but Yogi and his team cost us.

Yes today the difference was lafferty should have been sent off early doors with a blatant deliberate elbow just the norm for him then he comes back to haunt us
He pushes goalie over after their first goal
Then runs to crowd after his second goal
Both worthy of bookings never mind his red he should have had

Matty Todd - never heard his name wen on completely anonymous as always
Lewis McCann - effort can’t be doubted. Can’t read a game for runs across defender on crosses. His first touch is absolutely shocking. Overall he is murder and cannot be our main target/talisman

Ryan Dow - does he have photos of someone high up in Dunfermline .constantly rank rotten
The crème de me crème from our youth system matty Todd Paul Allan and Lewis McCann wouldn’t get a game at Sunday league

Persisting with one up top is not working because when McCann does win a header no one is there

We fell out of the game after we scored Todd was a waste of a sub and why have Dom on the bench if you have no intention of playing ,him shades of Peter Grant

reasonable post Jaffa0711
cannot argue with what you said , They only re-iterate my views
Dow certainly needs dropped and leave McCann on the sidelines too
In Todorov and O`Hara we have 2 of the top scorers last season sitting on the bench , Hughes needs to find a way how to play them , we have the boys in the team that can supply them the ball , before we didn`t because we didn`t have a midfield , now there is no excuse
That game was ours for the taking but we blew it big style , another Saturday night spoiled for me seems the common theme

Time to be more positive with a goal scoring option, think we are looking better in the middle, but no real scoring option up front. We need to give others a chance because we re getting better all over, except.....

Pretty depressing result once more , totally fell out of the game after taking the lead , drifted deeper and deeper trying to hold on to the lead instead of trying to extend it, our lack of any kind of firepower up front makes that much more difficult , perhaps instead of chasing an ageing unfit defender for the last few months . Yogi should have spent his time looking for a half decent striker instead of persisting with his blue eyed boy up front

Disappointing, we stopped going forward with purpose after the goal and invited an average team on to us.

Ambrose was a real mixture, played some good passes out from the back, but played with fire several times, especially first half dribbling in dangerous positions and we were fortunate to escape. He was largely at fault for the equaliser as well, might have done more with the second. Hopefully he will rapidly improve after a shaky debut like Donaldson.

Cole put in some good dead balls but otherwise wasn`t too involved. Dorrans was more involved second half before disappearing again. Chalmers is not that convincing either and his slowness on the ball helped get Comrie sent off at the end. Comrie was good again, apart from his poor crossing. Edwards did fine on the other flank. Donaldson was pretty tidy as well, a bit unlucky with the second goal but maybe he should be clearing that out for a corner.

Dow`s movement was good but he`s not producing much around the box. Thomas will come in soon for him you`d think. Poor penalty from Lawless, he didn`t have his best game but did draw some freekicks with his close control. McCann did ok again, still think he is the best option with a lone striker. Neither Todd nor O`Hara had any impact.

Lafferty should have had a second yellow straight after the equaliser for shoving the keeper into the goal, even more sickening to lose to a goal from him as he is a cretin.

An opportunity missed, we need to respond with a win on Friday now.

Good post Bucuresti Par, thought we played well until we scored the goal and then the midfield drifted out the game. Not sure Todd was the correct sub to make in that situation and O`hara will always be ineffective if he plays as a lone striker coming on. The mistake from Ambrose really seemed to rock the team and from then on they were always on the back foot.

The Partick Thistle game now looks really important with Morton picking up another win, need to start building some momentum going into the final part of the season.

It may be better playing Ambrose farther forward with Martin slotting back into defence although he may be needed at right back on Friday with Comrie presumably suspended. It was poor defending that cost us points today but some can`t resist having a go at McCann who did very well at the goal and was generally a handful for the Killie defence.

I want McCann to succeed, like I do with every Pars player. He`s young and has time to improve. Right now though he either needs to be dropped and give someone else a go, or play a different system with someone along side him and see if that works and helps him. McCann up front on his own just isn`t good enough right now, especially when we`re battling for our Championship lives.

This isn`t me having a go at him either for the easily offended.

It`s always doubly disappointing to lose a game after going ahead and easy to criticise the players for retreating into defence after our goal, but it`s a natural instinct rather than a deliberate tactic, especially when you`re down near the bottom of the table and desperate for points.

Conversely, teams near the top of the league are usually brimming with confidence and will look to push for a second goal after opening the scoring.

How’s that our only options? Bottom or 2nd bottom?

We have Morton, Ayr and QOTS at East End with none away. We’re 3 points behind not 10

Agree with all the above , apart for the McCann good player bit.

Should probably just stick to reading in future instead of posting you sound a wee bit bitter about mccan Todd and allen what’s wrong did they make the grade and someone in your family never is that it? Either way there is probably a very good reason why they play football for a living and you sit on your @rse and critique every single part of their game as for Ryan Dow all I will say is I have seen I’m having more good games in a Dunfermline shirt than bad games and I go every week

"No major improvement since then"?

We were on four points from eight games after that game at Palmerston.

Grim?

Absolutely, but if we`d carried on at that rate we be six points behind them now instead of four ahead.

We lost 1-0 in that game. Last week we won there 2-0 and you think nothing has changed?

We`re in trouble, no one`s denying it, but you if you really think things haven`t improved, ask yourself...we`re you happier then or now?

We`re all disappointed about today`s result, but we were always going to lose a few along the way and it`s far better for us to drop points away against Killie than those in our half of the table.

You finished on a positive note, keep that thought. We`ll drop more points between now and the end of April, but I`m confident we`ll have enough to keep us up.

In comparison to other teams we`ve not improved enough yet as the leagie position shows. The overall performance has risen but not to the degree we need to avoid a play-off. There is time but that final game of the season looks important unless we do...against QoS.

Struggling to see how we haven`t improved. Alot of the users on this form struggle to contain their emotions on a Saturday, if we win it`s how good we are and how X y and z are going to struggle to get in the team, if we lose we are utter toilet and the whole lot can be released.

We missed Pybus` energy in the middle, Chalmers, Cole and Dorrans are all tidy enough with the ball but quite similar. I can understand using Cole ahead of Allan on an artificial surface, which suits technical players.

I`d agree Ambrose could probably play as a defensive midfielder (a bit like Wedderburn) but we really don`t need that with Chalmers, Dorrans and Cole who can all play that role. He`s needed at centre back, but he`ll need to take less chances on the ball. For all his good passes forward, they won`t make up for him selling a goal by dawdling on the ball.

Martin comes in for Comrie presumably on Friday. Thomas must be ready for at least a half an hour cameo and Kamwa should also be available. Thistle have lost Rudden, althogh Tiffoney is a good player and Graham scores goals, no reason why we can`t beat them. In fact I think we will, 3-1.

Exactly Rikaka. Its amazing how many posters pile on here the second we lose a goal. We are improving. We are competing in every game. 8th is the target and it`s still very attainable. I heard Morton were "comfortable" in 6th. 4 points ahead of us?!

As long as we can stay in touch we have a great chance especially if DT23 is back in the team.

I think we have improved a lot under JH . The problem is Morton , Ayr , and Hamilton have all also improved massively mid season. We are not scoring enough goals for the play we have in games and the manager will need to solve this to avoid relegation. The run in should be great though. All to play for.

Not sure wat I have to be bitter about any of these players
They have played regularly this season and to me are not producing and are not good enough
Making grades in families 🤣🤣🤣some statement
I like yourself have seen every game this season as every season and I’m sure I know a good player wen I see one and someone not producing
I also see people I think are quality players and people who are not
So I will sit back on my bottom and continue watching/praising/criticizing.
Hopefully a few changes to team on Friday
IMO Thomas has to start poss todorov up top if Bobby not fit
