Not many games to go - Survival?

The way we have played recently I am really optimistic about clinching 8th place.
If we play like that in our last two home games I am confident that we will be too good for Ayr and QOS. It therefore all boils down to how we all play in the other matches.

My thinking?

Ayr have Inverness (H) 1 point Pars (A) 0 points QOS (A) 1 point then Partick (H) 3 points giving them a total of 5 points

QOS have Partick (H) 1 point Arbroath (A) 0 points Inverness (H) 0 points Ayr (H) 1 point Dunfermline (A) 0 points giving them a total of 2 points

Pars have Kilmarnock (A) 0 points Ayr (H) 3 points Partick (A) 1 point QOS (H) 3 points giving them a total of 7 points

My forecasts mean that QOS will finish with 28 points and are relegated, Ayr and Pars finish on 39 points with Pars clinching 8th on goal difference

Thoughts?

Let’s just get the next game played and hopefully a win in the bag, if not then focus on the next game

These want ifs and I thinks never out that way

I would bite your hand off for that scenario, anything to avoid relegation or the play off.

I have a feeling that a few of those results you have predicted will not happen that way.

I do believe though that we will need seven points at least to finish 8th.

Looks pretty realistic to me to be honest! Although I do think we may sneak something at rugby park..

I think the game against Ayr is shaping up to be a big influence on how the bottom three places are likely to end up.

Go figure Ayr though? After drawing with us at home, they proceed to beat both ICT and Kilmarnock away …. then lose at home to QOS? Their form since has been uninspired, although they did put four past Rovers in Kirkcaldy.

As the bottom three all play each other in the remaining games, if any one team takes 6 points they will be in with a fair chance of avoiding automatic relegation …. even QOS.

For us, both of these games are at home and given our recent home performances there’s certainly hope we can win them. But both Ayr and QOS will be coming to EEP knowing they have to get something; so can see them both being very tough games.

Is it possible the last Friday TV game of the season will be meaningless?

Is the last game going to be on TV? All Championship games are scheduled for that Friday night aren`t they?

The TV pick is Raith Rovers v Kilmarnock.

I`m a bit more optimistic and as others have posted will take it game by game but after seeing their desire over the last few games and some players are playing for their futures ,I think they will loose tightly on Saturday but beat Ayr , partick and queens. 8th place for me.

Second last game away to Partick and finishing with a home game v bottom of the league team is scary, as it mirrors the end of the 12/3 season.

But from the recent 3 home games, i feel confident certainly in the home games. We not only won them, but won well and convincingly. So im positive we can do it, just!

Anything we get on saturday will be a bonus and it is important if we do get beat not to panic.

The last 3 games are vital win the 2 home and a draw away would be enough. I am feeling much more confident now that we will get 8th.

I`d be astounded if they beat Caley who seem to be the only team showing a bit of form just now. Might scrape a draw tho.

So obviously 2-0 Ayr incoming.

I think coming out of tomorrows fixtures with the same gap to Ayr is a decent outcome.

Keep them within 3 points ahead of next week, then it`s still in our own hands. If they go 5 ahead it will be difficult to catch them

I fancy queens will take 3 points tonight, Partick we’re wide open against us and have been conceding goals for fun.

If we get 8th it will feel a bit like a great escape, fancy to do that we’ll need something from either killie away or more likely a point away at Partick.

I think we’ll get that point at Partick. I would hope the queens game at the end of the season is a must win for us against a team already relegated, would really fancy us then!

I’m sure there will be some surprise results cropping up! Proper coupon busters!

Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

Games won, then goal difference might come into effect if equal on points.

We need a couple of wins with a number of goals in the for column to ease that potential situation.

"Games won, then goal difference might come into effect if equal on points."

When has games won ever been ahead of goal difference when separating teams on the same number of points? Surely it`s goal difference then goals scored.
